Position Scheduling Coordinator
Department Registrar Office, Student Affairs
School Prince Mohammad bin Fahd University
Reports to Director of Admission and Registration

General Description

Scheduling Coordinator works to maximize the utilization of PMU resources and ensures that the master schedules, final exams, etc. are coordinated, developed, and implemented in the best practice manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the academic units to develop and create optimal master schedules for offered courses.
  • Analyze the required number of sections needed to be offered next semester for each course.
  • Plan and supervise all tasks related to scheduling.
  • Ensure fair distribution of the offered courses in each semester for students and faculty.
  • Responsible for all requests received from the academic departments.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between academic units and the Registrar’s Office regarding scheduling, and operational and administrative issues related to course offerings, faculty, and classroom assignments.
  • Ensures that any related registration and class adjustment concerns are resolved promptly.
  • Build final exam schedules for the male and female campuses that are fair to all students considering the policy constraints.
  • Support all tasks and operations in the Registrar’s Office, Student Affairs, and any other task requested by the direct supervisor.
  • Prepare all the reports related to the course schedules, faculty workload, and classroom utilization, and any other requested reports.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience (Required)

  • A Bachelor of Business Administration, Master Degree is preferable related to this field.
  • At least 8 years’ experience in the Registrar field related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Ability to work in team-based, collaborative settings.
  • Willingness to take initiative and work independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Suitable candidates are expected to have excellent command of the English Language and should be familiar with technology infused academic environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and communication skills. Analysis and planning skills.
  • Flexible with the working hours. Manage to work under pressure.
  • Familiar with Banner SIS.

  • Desire to grow technical skills and ability to learn new technologies swiftly.

  • Understanding of the latest trends and their role within a commercial environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and for long hours if needed to meet deadlines.
