  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Certified/licensed counselor (recognized qualification required by Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge - ADEK).
  • Minimum 2–5 years of counseling experience in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of child protection policies and experience in safeguarding.
Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

Student Support:

  • Provide individual and group counseling to address personal, academic, and social issues.
  • Identify students in need of additional support and create intervention plans.
  • Help students develop positive behaviors, interpersonal skills, and resilience.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with teachers and administrators to support student well-being.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and concerns.
  • Liaise with external mental health professionals and community services when necessary.

Behavioral and Emotional Development:

  • Address and mediate conflict among students.
  • Conduct risk assessments and support the school's safeguarding protocols.
