Support the Chef de Partie or Sous Chef in the daily operation and work</li>
<li>Work according to the menu specifications by the Chef de Partie</li>
<li>Keep work area at all times in hygienic conditions according to the rules set by the hotel</li>
<li>Control food stock and food cost in his section</li>
<li>Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen or satellites</li>
<li>Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate superiors to complete the daily tasks</li>
<li>Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques</li>
<li>Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily requirements in food preparation and actively take part in set up of buffets and special functions</li>

<p>Under the supervision of the Chef in Charge and according to the Outlet&rsquo;s requirements, prepare food items following recipes and menus, and responsible for the timely preparation, set up and replenishment of dishes.</p><p>Your day-to-day</p><p>&middot; Assist Demi chef or Chef De Partie in the performance of their culinary and other duties, the needs of the outlets and company standards.</p><p>&middot; Preparation of food items according to recipes and menus, including specialized food production for &lsquo;Theme Nights&rsquo;, buffets, banquets and a la carte.</p><p>&middot; Supervise and coordinate the activities of subordinates ensuring their work is produced to standard, taking full charge of the section and staff when directed to do so.</p><p>&middot; Checks the daily menus, function sheets, par stocks and mise en place lists.</p><p>&middot; Records all recipes and procedures in own recipe book.</p><p>&middot; Ensure cleanliness, hygiene and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, equipment, tables, fridges, freezers, kitchen area and cold rooms.</p><p>&middot; Supervision of buffet replenishment and clearance.</p><p>&middot; Preparation and set up daily mise en place and buffets as per standards.</p><p>&middot; Arranges plates and helps in dishing our meal portions according to Kitchen Order Tickets (KOTs).</p><p>&middot; In charge of food hygiene and temperature control for responsible section.</p><p>&middot; As directed, prepares staff rosters.</p><p>&middot; Store requisitions and stock control, as directed, in accordance with FIFO system (first in first out).</p><p>&middot; All other duties assigned by sous chefs and direct supervisors.</p><p><b>What we need from you</b></p><p>&middot; Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you&rsquo;ll be easy to talk to</p><p>&middot; Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories</p><p>&middot; Fluency in the local language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential Literate and tech-savvy - you&rsquo;ll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths and computers</p><p>&middot; Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job</p><p>&middot; You&rsquo;ll have a high school diploma or qualification. A college or university degree would be a bonus, but not essential</p><p>&middot; Experience - ideally you&rsquo;ll have spent at least one year in a front desk or guest service position</p><p>&middot; Strength - sometimes you&rsquo;ll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg).
