<p>As Duty Free Store Manager you will be responsible to manage and deliver efficient and effective store management by creating a culture of excellence and developing high performance teams to deliver strong KPI performance and world class experience to all guests. Work with Duty Managers to plan effective deployment of resources in line with business needs to deliver strong sales and best guest experience.</p>

<li>Monitor staff standards in terms of grooming, time and attendance, and general attitude on the shop floor.</li>
<li>Monitor store standards i.e signages, cleanliness, stocks, lighting, etc. Implement daily checklist and conduct daily store walks with DMS to ensure world class store standards are maintained at all times.</li>
<li>Manage team performance, conduct people performance management reviews in an unbiased and constructive manner, provide regular feedback and create performance development plans.</li>
<li>Review shrinkage results with Retail Manager and create action plan to minimise shrinkage.</li>
<li>Provide feedback on product performance/issues to respective Category Managers.</li>
<li>Work with DMS to create a culture of excellence through mentoring, feedback, and coaching methods.</li>
<li>Train managers and staff on excellent customer service skills through shadowing, on the job training, etc.</li>

</b></div><p>The Retail Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of QDF stores and departments in accordance with overall company policy. Responsible to spend time on the ground in our 24/7 operations, finding new ways to improve the commercial performance of QDF by increasing its turnover and maximising profitability &ndash; through people. Ensure promotions are accurate and merchandised to the company&rsquo;s standards and will also be responsible for managing staff on day to day basis ensuring excellent standards of customer care are met / exceeded.</p>
<p>Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to:</p>
<ul><li> Manage and motivate the QDFC retail team to increase sales and ensure efficiency. Tour the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Analyse sales figures and forecast future sales to achieve departmental budget. Use information technology to record sales figures for data analysis and forward planning; analyse and interpret trends to facilitate department planning.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Ensure that the merchandise is displayed attractively and customers can easily shop for what they need; manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Ensure standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met; resolve health and safety, legal and security issues promptly.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Work to create a win-win situation where customers are satisfied and have a great shopping experience in HIA.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Update colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues to ensure effective communication across the department.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail travel industry, understand forthcoming customer initiatives and monitor what competitors are doing.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Initiate positive changes based on on-going observation to improve the business performance.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Organise special promotions, displays and events in order to maximise profits and meet the target budget.</li></ul><p><br>

<ul><li> Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree or Equivalent with Minimum 6 years of job-related experience</li></ul>
<ul><li> Experience in retail developing, managing and influencing people and the bottom line results</li></ul>
<ul><li> Experience in customer facing, fast paced business.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Financial knowledge of Cash handling, banking and working with budgets.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Experience working in Middle East; international business or luxury market experience.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Prior experience with Duty Free or airport.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Operational knowledge of a Retail Environment.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Knowledge of the business environment in the region and ability to tap into networks to stay current</li></ul>
<ul><li> Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities.</li></ul>
<ul><li> A hands-on retail operator who is flexible around the needs of a 24 hour business.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Proficient with MS Office, while working knowledge of other retail IT systems is must.</li></ul>
<ul><li> High degree of analytical and financial reports.</li></ul>
<ul><li> Customer focus, tracking budget expenses, pricing, market knowledge, staffing, results driven.</li></ul><p><br>
