Based at Mandarin Oriental, Doha within the Spa &amp; Wellness Department in Doha, the Spa Trainee will carry out all required operational tasks and duties in the Spa, Fitness &amp; Wellness under the guidance of the respective Spa &amp; Wellness Supervisors and Managers, with the overall objective to handle bookings, explaining services to guests, perform Point of Sales activities including retail and checking in and checking out all guests in a professional manner. The Spa Trainee reports to the Spa &amp; Wellness Manager.</p><p><br>
As Spa &amp; Wellness Trainee, you will be responsible for the following duties:</p><ul>

Will be expected to ensure lockers are stocked with clean linen at all times and remove soiled linen.</p></li>

Will be expected to aid therapists in setting up for treatments and clearing away after.</p></li></ul><ul>

Greet and anticipate guest needs within the Spa and exceed their expectation at every opportunity with the highest level of personalization.</li><li>
Ensure the smooth running of the Spa with clear communication with both associates and guests with appointments, retail products, providing a seamless service throughout whole Spa.</li><li>
Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the Spa, supporting associates and specifically within the treatment rooms that they are fully stocked of all items necessary to provide all treatments.</li><li>
Be consistent with presentation of the treatment&rsquo;s rooms, beds, nail areas set up/ appearance and are ready to use at all times and relevant items are sterilized in the correct manner.</li><li>
Be knowledgeable about and promote all services and products within the Spa, attending all necessary training courses.</li><li>
In the absence of the Spa Treatment Supervisor or (Assistant) Spa Manager, carry out the duties and maintain the standards ensuring the smooth running of the Spa.</li><li>
Properly care for equipment and products used throughout the spa facility.</li><li>
Understand and adhere to punctuality for spa appointments.</li><li>
Able to compare and contrast the different services on the menu.</li><li>
Be mindful of the spa therapists&rsquo; rota to ensure business needs are met and cooperate as needed.</li><li>
Ensure all therapists&rsquo; paperwork such as guest health checks are completed and updated and product sales, commissions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.</li><li>
Upsell Spa products considering guests&rsquo; needs and departments&rsquo; sales targets. Maximize department revenue achieving sales targets set by the management team.</li><li>
Be alert to potential opportunities to improve service and profitability within the Spa.</li><li>
Be positive within the Spa and a role model to the rest of the Spa team promoting effective communication that guests see the close team spirit and nurturing environment.</li><li>
Be discreet and adhere to guest confidentiality.</li><li>
Keep the Spa Treatment Supervisor, (Assistant) Spa Manager or (Assistant) Director of Wellness updated with information, complaints, queries that have arisen.</li><li>
Be familiar with treatments and products that are not suitable for use during pregnancy.</li><li>
Be aware and comply with Health and Safety within the Spa for both facilities, treatments, products upholding these to both guests and associates.</li><li>
Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.</li><li>
Respond to guest requests immediately, accurately, and appropriately.</li><li>
Maintain a clean, safe, stocked and well-organized work area.</li><li>
Maintain spa appearance and cleanliness.</li><li>
