Job Purpose :


This role will be responsible for the company's communication activities, focusing on media relations, public relations and corporate communications.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Take briefs and develop relevant content, ensuring it is laid out effectively and delivered through to the final version. This includes, but is not limited to, managing brand campaigns, training calendars, recruitment notifications, customized training content, policy changes and updates, events, staff activities, specific campaigns, staff policy updates, and announcements.
  • Write and edit high-quality content for press releases, speeches, articles, and all types communications, ensuring content aligns with brand guidelines and company messaging, to produce compelling and consistent materials that reinforce the company’s brand.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, media advisories, and press kits. Ensure timely and accurate dissemination of information to deliver accurate and timely updates to the media, effectively communicating key company news and initiatives.
  • Support with the implementation of crisis communication plans and strategies to develop and execute approaches for managing communication during crises, minimizing potential damage to the company’s reputation.
  • Responsible for the company’s reputation and assist with media coverage and respond to public concerns effectively, protecting and enhancing the company’s reputation through proactive media management and public engagement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing, sales, and HR to ensure consistent messaging and effective communication across the organization. Provide guidance on communication best practices to support teams in maintaining unified messaging.
  • Enhance media presence and brand recognition through strategic collaborations with external PR agencies to craft, refine and disseminate high-quality written content that effectively communicates the company’s brand message. This includes coordinating the development of press releases, articles, thought leadership pieces and media statements to ensure that all materials are aligned with the company’s tone of voice, messaging and overall communication strategy.
  • Provide reports and insights to senior management on media coverage, engagement, and communication outcomes, offering actionable insights and updates to ensure informed decision-making based on performance metrics.
  • There will be a requirement for research / administration as well, as is required. This support will be provided across the communications and media relations department.



Candidate Qualifications, Experiences & Skills :


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or any related field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in communications, media relations, or public relations.
  • Expert use of MS Word and MS PowerPoint
  • Highly creative and Passionate for creative writing
  • Capable of adapting writing to various styles, from highly technical content for policy updates to general announcements for staff activities, events, and specific campaigns.
  • Proficiency in writing, editing, and developing content for various communication channels, including press releases, newsletters, speeches, blog posts, and social media. Effective communication skills
  • Be able to manage digital and social media
  • Be able to adapt to changing priorities, managing multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
  • Creative approach to present draft copy versions
  • Attention to Detail- Ensure that all content produced is thoroughly reviewed and polished to meet the highest standards.
  • Quality Assurance- deliver final work that consistently reflects excellence in both content and presentation.
  • Strong crisis management and reputation management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior executives
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with media and stakeholders
  • High level of discretion and professionalism
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
