• Oversee and manage the organization’s database infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
• Develop and implement best practices for database design, deployment, and maintenance.
• Lead a team of database administrators, providing guidance, mentorship, and technical expertise.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive solutions.
• Design and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize database performance for applications and systems.
• Conduct capacity planning and scalability assessments to meet current and future business needs.
• Stay updated on the latest database technologies, trends, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• 6+ years of experience in database administration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Expertise in database platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or others.
• Strong knowledge of database architecture, clustering, and replication.
• Experience with cloud-based database solutions (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Shell, PowerShell).
• In-depth understanding of database security, backup, and recovery processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
