Implement and maintain Data management platform and Tools (e.g., enterprise metadata repository, data quality platform, data stewardship workflows, data modelling, ETL tools, data mesh) ensuring that they meet bank needs, fulfil regulatory Data Management requirements and security standards.--- Must

Extensive experience in data management, data governance, data architecture, and data integration.--- Must

Data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA Mastering Data Management Fundamentals - CDMP -DMBOK- Data Management Body of Knowledge), DCAM and the ability to establish data governance policies and procedures.--- Must

Mastery in data modelling techniques, including conceptual, logical and physical data models--- Must

Proficiency in data quality frameworks (e.g., Six Sigma, Total Data Quality Management (TDQM)) and the ability to develop and enforce data quality standards and procedures.-- -Must

Professional certifications in data management, data governance is highly desirable e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP)--- Must

Role Purpose

The role will be responsible for managing the Strategic, Governance and Technical aspects of Data management within the Bank. Role involves setting up the framework for Data office covering Data Management, Data Retention and Archiving, Data Quality Management, Data Architecture, Metadata Management, Master Business Intelligence, Data Governance and Data integration to ensure Data Integrity,

compliance with regulatory requirements and fulfill internal, external, business and IT requirements This role is responsible for defining, managing and controlling master data and metadata management policies, controls and standards review and update Data architecture principles. Data Management Specialist will work closely with the Head of Technology Portfolio Management & Transformation and other

stakeholders to support the wider Technology strategy and respective data needs (e.g., Data science and Data monetization) of Business functions. Job holder will assist to implement a collaborative Data management program involving Data owners, IT and Business staff.

Data Management

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with business objectives and enhances data driven decision making
• Lead the Data Office in establishing culture of data excellence, promoting the value of data across all levels of organization
• Implement and maintain Data management platform and Tools (e.g., enterprise metadata repository, data quality platform, data stewardship workflows, data modelling, ETL tools, data mesh) ensuring that they meet bank needs, fulfil regulatory Data Management requirements and security standards.
• Ensure data is consistently and accurately integrated across various systems, platforms and environments.
• Oversee the management and all the sources of data, ensuring the efficient and secure storage, processing, and retrieval of data.
• Manage the lifecycle of data from acquisition to disposal and ensuring compliance with regulation.
• Conduct data management risk and control self-assessments RCSA, addressing operational weaknesses and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Promote innovative data management practices for efficiency, data utilization and value extraction.
  
  

Data Strategy and Governance

• Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy aligned with business objectives and the wider technology strategy.
• Work with technology partners and stakeholders to establish and enforce Data Governance policies and standards to ensure quality, privacy, security, compliance and ethical management of data.
• Develop and maintain framework to assess and improve group data capabilities and maturity levels.
• Lead data stewardship efforts and work with the various data owners within the group to maintain data integrity, protection, security, and democratization.
• Collaborate with other senior leaders, stakeholders - Internal, external and customers to understand their needs, expectations and feedback to ensure alignment and integration of Data Management requirements.
  
  

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management

• Work closely with Data Teams, IT and Business Stakeholders to ensure data privacy and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, PDPL etc.)
• Work closely with Cyber & Information Security officers and SMEs to enforce data security policies to protect the Bank against data breaches.
• Work with IT Architecture to establish End to End Data Architecture and best Practices and apply such standards to operating teams and other IT functions.
• Partner with Data Analytics and other data consumption (IT and Business) teams to support data driven initiatives and leverage data for business intelligence (e.g., ML/AI)
• Develop meaningful presentations for Senior Management to update progress on Data Management.
• Collaborate with data owners, business technology teams and wider IT teams to ensure data
  
  

Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge, Technical Competencies Required for this role:

• Bachelor / Master’s degree (Desirable) in Computer science, Data Science, Finance & Banking MIS or Information Management, Operations management.
• Proven track record of Data Management in Banking or Financial firms and hands-on experience of directly managing data and driving change within a large and complex business set–up.
• Vast experience in building and leading data science organization, setting up framework for Data management and Data Office as well as successful experience in advocating Data value across business and to diverse audiences.
• Professional certifications in data management, data governance is highly desirable e.g., Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP)
• Extensive experience in data management, data governance, data architecture, and data integration.
• Strong experience with data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA Mastering Data Management Fundamentals - CDMP -DMBOK- Data Management Body of Knowledge), DCAM and the ability to establish data governance policies and procedures.
• Good knowledge of the information requirements and standard reporting within Financial Services industry

• Strong knowledge of data lake architectures and experience in managing and integrating data lakes using platforms like Azure and AWS.
• Knowledge of API management and integration, facilitating data exchange between internal systems and external data sources.
• Knowledge of Data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
