Job Description
  1. JOB PURPOSE:

Overseeing the development and deployment of software applications to optimize industrial operations. Involves in managing a team of software engineers and developers to create applications that enhance productivity, streamline processes, and support the organization’s manufacturing and operational goals.

  1. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Core Accountabilities:

  • Application Development & Support:
  • Support the development and customization of industrial applications to meet operational needs.
  • Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance existing applications such as DairyCOM, DelPro, and MES systems.
  • Collaborate with end-users to gather feedback and implement system enhancements.
  • System Management:
  • Serve as the key point of contact for the daily operation and administration of DairyCOM, DelPro, and MES.
  • Ensure data accuracy and system stability by performing routine checks, updates, and backups.
  • Coordinate with central IT and vendors for advanced troubleshooting and upgrades.
  • User Training & Support:
  • Provide hands-on training and user support to farm and production staff on application usage.
  • Develop user manuals and SOPs for key system functions.
  • Operational Collaboration:
  • Work closely with dairy operations, veterinary, and manufacturing teams to align software tools with business processes.
  • Assist in capturing operational needs and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Data & Reporting:
  • Extract and analyze data from applications to generate meaningful operational reports.
  • Support decision-making by providing accurate and timely performance metrics.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Identify and recommend application-based improvements to enhance productivity and system efficiency.
  • Participate in cross-functional reviews to streamline data flow and operational processes.
  • Compliance & Quality:
  • Ensure applications and data handling are compliant with company policies, data security protocols, and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct system testing to validate accuracy and performance before implementation.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay informed of industry best practices and new technologies in industrial software systems.
  • Propose improvements to enhance application integration, user experience, and operational performance.

Policies, System, Processes and Procedures

  • Manage the development and implementation of the Engineering policies, systems, processes and procedures, identifying potential areas for improvement, to ensure efficient and effective operation.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate requirements on adherence to policies, procedures and instructions related to all relevant regulatory directives to ensure a safe and risk-free environment.

Change Management

  • Motivate the employees and contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices considering best practices.
  • Ensure that all departmental reports and statements are completed timely and comply with local and international principles of governance and the organization's policies and standards.

  • Specialist - Industrial Application will be working in the assigned areas and might have to travel as and when needed.

  1. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.

Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on industrial applications.
  • Hands-on experience with DairyCOM, DelPro, and/or MES systems is highly preferred.
  • Experience in FMCG, dairy, or agricultural environments is a plus.

Skills:

  • English (Written and Spoken)
  • Arabic (Written and Spoken) Preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
