Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models and detailed drawings of steel structures using Tekla Structures.
  • Perform structural analysis and design of steel elements (beams, columns, bracings, trusses, etc.).
  • Prepare fabrication drawings, GA (General Arrangement) drawings, and material take-offs.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to integrate structural designs with overall project requirements.
  • Review and ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements.
  • Identify design risks and propose appropriate engineering solutions.
  • Support the construction and fabrication teams during manufacturing and installation phases.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all engineering work.
  • Conduct site visits as needed to verify as-built conditions or resolve structural issues.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years experience in steel structure design and detailing.
  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures is mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of steel fabrication and erection processes.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (AISC, BS, Eurocodes, etc.).
  • Experience with other structural software such as SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or Robot is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Tekla Structures Certification.
  • Experience with BIM coordination and clash detection tools.
  • Familiarity with connection design software like IDEA StatiCa or Limcon.
