Cleaning Tasks:

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly to remove debris, dirt, and dust.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins and dispose of waste material appropriately.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors.
• Wipe down and sanitize surfaces such as countertops, tables, desks, and door handles.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, and window sills.

Maintenance Duties:

• Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies. Report any issues or replenishment needs to supervisors.
• Perform minor repairs or maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs or fixing leaky faucets.
• Notify management of any major repairs or maintenance requirements.

Safety and Security:

• Ensure all doors and windows are securely locked after cleaning.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Identify and report potential safety hazards or security risks to supervisors.

Communication:

• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and building occupants.
• Respond to requests and feedback from staff and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.

Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience as a janitor, cleaner, or similar role.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform cleaning tasks.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move heavy objects
• Stamina to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and solutions.

Working Conditions:

• Work is typically indoors, but may include outdoor responsibilities depending on the facility.
