Job Summary:

The Systems Administrator, Wintel will be responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and maintenance of Wintel systems including O365 services, VMWare, storage and more. This position will assist with the development and implementation of a wide range of solutions from system administration, security, automation, monitoring and disaster recovery. The position also calls for working closely with the various business units when new systems are being implemented or issues arise.

Key Accountabilities:

• Maintain and support Microsoft Active Directory and Windows Servers
• Respond to SEV1 alerts during your shift alerts as needed
• Manage VMWare supporting Windows operating systems
• Manage enterprise messaging system including Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Skype for Business and Teams
• Manage and maintain our SCCM environment. (OS Patching, Application Deployment, Reporting)
• Troubleshoot problems escalated by level 2 and business partners with system challenges
• Maintain system efficiency, assist with upgrades and identify dependencies.
• Conduct research on Microsoft products, best practices and evolving solutions in order to keep aligned with current and future business needs
• Provide after-hours support to the various business units as needed
• Respond to SEV1 alerts during your shift alerts as needed
• AD policy administration
• Assist with security efforts and implementations

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 7+ years of systems administration experience
• Previous IT experience in large organization

Skills and Behaviors:

• Ability to automate tasks as solutions are found
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; capable of training users in applications and operating system fundamentals and writing basic documentation
• Proficient with most operating system commands/utilities, specifically Windows 2k3, 2k8, 2k12, 2k16, 2k19
• Familiarity with most basic system administration tools and processes
• Must be very proficient in PowerShell and have the ability to create custom scripts
• Must have working knowledge of SCCM and patch management
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Strong Microsoft skills
• Excellent time management skills as well as the ability to work towards multiple timelines
