For our California workshop in San Dimas, we are seeking a Training & Talent Development Manager . At Louis Vuitton, People Make the Difference and this newly created position will play an integral role as an ambassador of the Brand.

In this role you will roll out Talent Development activities in the workshops. You will deploy the talent development strategy and support all the parties involved in implementing the resulting actions (managers, HR). In addition, you will be the contact on the ground to roll out the training policy defined by the company. You will ensure that the training policy is applied and support employees in developing their skills.

Job responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Roll out the talent development strategy in response to the challenges facing the Group and the Maison

  • Closely monitor talent within your scope by organizing career interviews
  • Identify the support methods needed to develop the talents encountered
  • Raise awareness among managers and HR staff about possible career paths
  • Manage People Reviews by business category
  • Conduct annual Organizational Management Reviews: prepare, organize and gather information

Implement fundamental projects to meet the various challenges of talent development: career paths, business knowledge and skills assessment

  • Deploy a talent support program (Mentoring): Monitor the project, organize highlights & events, set up a satisfaction tool and monitor indicators;
  • Contribute to the project to define career paths: create a tool that compiles all job descriptions and the associated career paths
  • Participate in events to promote the professions (presentation of professions, video testimonials, etc.)
  • Maintain an active watch on Talent Management issues (benchmarking, selecting articles, etc.)

Set up and organize indicator monitoring

  • Help to monitor and consolidate interviews: create reporting tools, help to organize interview schedules
  • Create tools for monitoring strategic indicators relating to the Talent Development activity (talent review, People Review LVMH Maison & Group, number of transfers, assignments, career paths, etc.)
  • Create monitoring indicators for the Global Talent Development activity

Build and deploy the development plan

  • Oversee the gathering of requirements and make choices based on the budget,
  • Advise managers on training their teams
  • Prepare files with the OPCOs

Coordinate the tutors of the School of Skills and deploy the modules

  • Promote the School of Skills within the workshop
  • Organize the network of tutors (identification, training, support)
  • Participate in the construction of training modules and coordinate experts and tutors

Manage leatherworkers career path campaigns

  • Ensure that career path interviews are completed within the required timeframes
  • Provide team leaders with information on the operation and technical aspects of the agreements and platforms used
  • Enter data from forms

Participate in continuous improvement projects based on training issues

  • Participate in the Training Manager community and contribute to the roll-out of improvement projects around Training issues for all workshops,
  • Contribute expertise in training engineering to the creation of new modules and the improvement of our offering, systems and processes.

Monitor training performance indicators

  • Define and monitor KPIs and reporting to provide visibility on training activity for head office and the management team

Manage the training team

Talent Acquisition Support

  • As needed, assist with the generation and review of Job Descriptions, the creation of Job Requisitions, and the scheduling and coordination of interviews with the hiring team

Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 3+ years relevant experience
  • Understanding of adult learning theory
  • Instructional design and program management
  • Demonstrate success in adapting programs to meet audience needs
  • Strong business and customer focus
  • Ability to build strong and collaborative relationships
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bilingual Spanish/English required
  • French language skills a plus

The appointed candidate will be offered a salary within the range of USD$105,000 - $160,000 annually, plus the opportunity for a bonus, comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, various paid time off programs, employee discount/perks and retirement plans with employer contribution.
