Job Description

Job Summary:
The Transportation Economics Expert will leverage their extensive knowledge and experience in urban and regional economics to analyze transportation systems and provide insights that inform policy decisions, project planning, and investment strategies. This role focuses on enhancing the economic efficiency and sustainability of transportation networks while addressing the evolving needs of urban development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of transportation systems, assessing economic impacts and identifying opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Develop and implement economic models and frameworks to evaluate transportation projects and policies.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to inform strategic planning efforts related to urban transportation development.
  • Provide expertise in urban and regional economics to support transport planning initiatives and investment evaluations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations that clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and implications for stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on transportation trends, policy changes, and economic theories to apply best practices in transportation economics.
  • Engage with governmental agencies, private sector stakeholders, and community organizations to gather data and support project objectives.
  • Contribute to workshops, seminars, and public consultations to educate stakeholders on economic issues related to transportation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban and Regional Economics or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in transportation and urban economics, with a proven track record of successful project involvement.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and economic modeling techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex economic concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in policy analysis, project evaluation, and strategic planning in transportation contexts.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of transportation policy, infrastructure investment practices, and urban development trends.
