This position is responsible for communication with both External counterparties such as Banks, and QatarEnergy Subsidiaries and Affiliate companies, as well as Internal Counterparties, with other departments and Divisions.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Develop key relationships with financial institutions with the objective of improving banking services required for operations.
2. Execute foreign exchange and money market transactions and manage the overall counterparty limits with the objective of meeting operational requirement and risk policies.
3. Analyse the current banking structure and recommend improvements across QatarEnergy with a view to creating a best in class and cost-effective banking set-up across all business units in QatarEnergy and its group of companies.
4. Involved in financing activities for QatarEnergy and its group of companies to make appropriate and applicable financing decisions. Optimize intercompany funding and lending activities and make recommendations on optimal funding mechanism review and coordinate with stakeholders the development of funding agreements.
5. Coordinate and develop strategic relationships with business managers in QatarEnergy and its group of companies and sharing of best practice in order to improve process efficiencies.

7. Coordinate with banks to issue bank guarantees for QatarEnergy and its group companies required for operations.
8. Review corporate guarantees letters as required for operations.
9. Explore and propose suitable banking solutions to meet the organization’s developing and growing requirements.
10.Review and update policies and procedures relating to Front Office activities.
Required Experience and Skills:
- At least 10-15 years of experience in medium to large organization with adequate exposure to accounting & finance functions. Previous experience in similar capacity in an oil and gas industry would be an advantage
- Knowledge of systems in a computerized business environment which includes knowledge and experience in MS Office packages, SAP or similar advanced ERP systems.
- Excellent people management, leadership and coaching skills.
- Bachelors in Finance/Commerce / Business / Accounting and globally accepted professional qualifications like a Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant / Cost & Management Accountant / Chartered Financial Analyst etc.
