
Digital Banking - UI/UX Officer
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate UI/UX Officer to join our team and drive the creation of seamless, user-centric digital experiences. In this role, you will combine creativity with technical expertise to design intuitive interfaces that align with our brand and enhance user satisfaction. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate user needs into visually appealing and functional designs. Your work will directly impact product success by ensuring usability, accessibility, and aesthetic excellence across web and mobile platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- User Research & Testing: Conduct user interviews, surveys, and usability tests to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Collaborative Design: Partner with product and development teams to ensure designs are feasible and aligned with technical constraints.
- Design Systems: Develop and maintain UI component libraries and style guides to ensure consistency across products.
- Iterative Improvement: Refine designs based on user feedback, analytics, and stakeholder input.
- Accessibility Compliance: Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and cater to diverse user needs.
- Stakeholder Presentations: Clearly communicate design rationale and solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on UI/UX best practices, emerging tools, and design trends. Project Management: Deliver high-quality work within deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, Graphic Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
- 2–3+ years of hands-on experience in UI/UX design, with a portfolio showcasing web/mobile projects.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD) and prototyping software (InVision, Axure).
- Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, responsive design, and interaction design. Familiarity with front-end development basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with developers.
Soft Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design decisions and advocate for user needs.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and adapt to feedback.
- Problem-solving mindset with meticulous attention to detail. Experience conducting user research and translating data into design improvements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience with motion design or animation tools (e.g., After Effects).
