Job Summary:
As the Senior Tailor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the uniforms for all hotel associates are of the highest quality, fit, and presentation. You will oversee the uniform maintenance, alterations, and tailoring processes while managing a team of tailors to deliver excellent service and meet the needs of the hotel.
As a Senior Tailor, we rely on you to,
Perform alterations and tailoring of uniforms for all hotel staff, ensuring the highest quality of craftsmanship and a perfect fit.
Oversee and manage daily operations of the Uniform Room, ensuring efficient and timely completion of tailoring requests and uniform maintenance.
Inspect and assess uniforms for damage or wear, providing recommendations for repair or replacement.
Maintain a stock of fabric, sewing supplies, and uniform items, ensuring adequate inventory levels at all times.
Supervise and mentor junior tailors, providing training and guidance on tailoring techniques and best practices.
Manage and schedule daily tailoring work assignments to ensure all staff uniforms are ready and available on time.
Work closely with the Uniform Room Manager to establish and implement uniform policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Communicate effectively with other departments, including HR and Housekeeping, to ensure uniform needs and alterations are met.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area, adhering to all safety and hygiene standards.
What we are Looking For:
Proven experience as a tailor, with experience in tailoring and alterations, preferably in a hotel or hospitality environment.
Communicates and writes in English
Knowledge of fabric types, garment care, and maintenance techniques.
