Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • · Analyze shop drawings and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.

· Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.

· Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.

· Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates.

· Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.

· Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.

· Should be able to check and take site measurements to prepare estimation.

· Identify and quantify cost factors, such as production time and raw material, equipment, and labor expenses

· Travel to job sites to gather information on materials needed, labor requirements, and other factors

· Read blueprints and technical documents to prepare estimates

· Collaborate with engineers, architects, owners, and contractors on estimates

· Evaluate a product’s cost effectiveness or profitability

· Recommend ways to make a product more cost effective or profitable

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 to 5 yrs of Experience as Estimator or Relevant Field
  • Diploma – Civil / Interior / Joinery or equivalent experience
  • Should be having experience in Joinery & Fit outs and Furniture manufacturing industries.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and mathematical skills.
