VP of Global Partnerships
Your role
Lead Deriv's affiliate marketing programme and forge strategic partnerships to drive our ambitious market expansion. Your challenges
Strategic planning and execution: Develop and execute a comprehensive affiliate marketing strategy that aligns with Deriv's overall business objectives.This includes aggressive expansion in the African market while maintaining and growing the presence in other regions. Set clear performance targets and ensure resources are optimally allocated to achieve these goals.
Leadership and team development: Lead and mentor the Global Partnership team, driving high performance and fostering a culture of excellence. This involves providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the team is well-equipped to execute the affiliate strategy effectively and efficiently.
Affiliate network management: Plan and oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and management of affiliate managers, focusing on both nurturing and expanding existing relationships and aggressively identifying new opportunities in Africa and other markets. This responsibility also includes addressing and resolving affiliate inquiries and concerns promptly to maintain strong and productive partnerships.
Risk management in affiliate programmes: Identify and mitigate key risks in affiliate programmes, including exploits, fraud, and abuse, to safeguard the company’s interests, especially as we operate in diverse markets where regulatory landscapes can vary significantly. This task requires a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to risk management.
Campaign planning and data-driven optimisation: Plan and optimise affiliate campaigns, continuously monitoring their performance and exploring new growth opportunities. Implement robust reporting systems for tracking KPIs, providing clear insights into affiliate activities. This involves using advanced analytics to understand market trends, affiliate performance, and customer behaviour, especially in the rapidly evolving fintech landscape.
Interdepartmental collaboration: Monitor team performance goals and ensure effective collaboration between departments, such as Product and Compliance, to meet targets.
What you have
15+ years of experience as a head of affiliates, managing teams of over 50 people
University degree in marketing, communications, or a related discipline
Demonstrated expertise in ideating, creating, and executing effective affiliate marketing campaigns
Strong leadership skills, capable of guiding and inspiring a dynamic team, and an ability to collaborate effectively with a
range of teams and stakeholders
Proficient in analytical and project management skills, able to handle complex tasks effectively
Strategic thinker, capable of making difficult decisions in a fast-paced environment
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
Ample team-building and bonding activities
