Role Overview:
Meaningful Beginnings Daycare Center is looking for a freelance Website & SEO Specialist to support ongoing website updates, maintenance, and SEO optimization. You'll help ensure our site stays up-to-date, functional, and visible—reflecting our warm, family-centered brand.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update website content, including text, images, and page layouts
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues or bugs in a timely manner
- Monitor and improve website speed, mobile responsiveness, and overall functionality
- Optimize on-page SEO (meta tags, image alt text, keywords, headers, internal links, etc.)
- Support basic technical tasks like plugin installation, backups, and performance checks
- Develop and implement strategies for improving search engine rankings
- Provide regular reports on SEO performance, traffic, and recommendations
- Coordinate with internal team on website goals or updates as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with website platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wix, Squarespace)
- Strong understanding of on-page and technical SEO best practices
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO software
- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge preferred but not required
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
