Job Description

The role of the Wellsite Supervisor/Night Drilling Supervisor is to direct and control at wellsite all operational functions of people, equipment and services for the execution of the well program under their supervision: including safety, moving, logistics (material + personnel) and maintenance; coordinate all phases of the well operations, including management of sub contractors services at the rig site.

Works closely with the Client Representative at wellsite to ensure compliance with operational requirements are and well integrity maintenance during program execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Controls the operation, aiming for support and information whenever required or deemed necessary
  • Is responsible to plan and supervise the execution of the well program at wellsite, providing instructions, logistic planning and reporting
  • Ensure well programs and schedules are well known and adequate written instruction are provided in a daily manner
  • Looks for opportunities to improve resources utilization, procedures and designs to improve the operation.
  • Jointly with the rig manager prepare and plan the rig maintenance plans, visits locations and coordinates rig moves
  • Is responsible to have a clear handover of responsibilities at the end of each tour and provides clear daily instructions to operational team at wellsite.
  • Is the custodian of all the information generated at wellsite until handed over to the next hitch and/or office
  • Is responsible over the well integrity and provides the first actions and control such an unplanned event happens.

Required:

  • Please note due to Saudization, we can only consider nationals for this role at this time.
  • Extensive experience in well operations in operational, and/or engineering. Previous on site knowledge of oil & gas operations & practices.
  • Wellcap Certification is essential
  • Excellent proficiency for field calculations,
  • Excellent computer skills for preparation of job/project specific procedures and dealing with amendments to existing procedures or plans.
  • Previous experience of workover wells/re-entry wells is essential

Preferred:

  • Extensive work experience in a comparable position in Upstream Oil and Gas Integrated Services Projects.
  • Previous extensive experience in a multi rig campaign, managing concurrent rig operations .
  • Knowledge of Weatherford Services. Latest industry technologies and equipment for well operations/problem job

Qualifications:

  • Engineering or Technical degree (with additional technical qualification) or a relevant experience and ability to demonstrate strong technical / commercial aptitude
