Duties and responsibilities:

• Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders.
• Ensures that all purchasing is in compliance with regulations and laws related to purchasing practices.
• Prepares technical specifications for request for proposals, including terms and conditions and evaluation criteria.
• Analyzes current product development activities and recommends improvement through more efficient methods.
• Ensure that the purchase orders is prepared by verifying specifications and price.
• Obtains recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
• Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers.
• Preparing reports related to the inventory and sock controlling.
• Manage Purchasing activities, Inventory management for the whole group
• Oversee the companies' needs, handle daily business issues and recognize business opportunities
• Evaluate the complete product portfolio for the 3 markets (Kuwait, UAE & Qatar) in terms of size, price, margins... etc.
• Build and develop relationships and effective partnerships with suppliers
• Responsible for adherence of the purchase and inventory budgets to the overall financial budget of the company.
• Represent the group in major trade fairs.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a relevant field.
• Supply chain certificate would be highly preferred.
• A minimum of 10-15 years' of relevant experience in a comparable position within the purchase, inventory management, product development fields with +5 years in a managerial level.
• Proven strong experience in the Wood & Furniture field is a MUST.
• Good command of English language.
• Good Analytical, Negotiation, leadership and presentation skill.
• System requirements – MS Office, ERP System.
