We are looking for an experienced Angular & Next.js Frontend Team Lead to lead the development of high-performance, scalable, and user-friendly web applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in Angular and Next.js, excellent frontend architecture knowledge, and the ability to lead, mentor, guide, and manage a frontend development team. The candidate should demonstrate strong ownership of projects, technical decision-making, code quality, performance, and delivery.

Experience

4+ years of relevant experience in frontend development, with strong hands-on experience in Angular and Next.js.

Location

Hyderabad – Work from Office

Eligibility: Hyderabad residents/candidates currently based in Hyderabad.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Angular and Next.js developers.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using Angular and Next.js.
  • Take ownership of frontend architecture, technical decisions, and development standards.
  • Review code and ensure coding standards, performance, security, and maintainability.
  • Conduct technical discussions, provide guidance, and resolve complex development challenges.
  • Implement SSR, SSG, routing, state management, and frontend performance optimization.
  • Build responsive, high-performance, and SEO-friendly public-facing websites.
  • Integrate REST APIs and third-party services with frontend applications.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Identify technical risks and provide effective solutions.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level developers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and quality standards.
  • Participate in technical planning, estimation, task allocation, and sprint activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in development processes, tools, and engineering practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest Angular, Next.js, React, TypeScript, and frontend technologies.

Required Technical Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience with Angular and Next.js.
  • Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Strong understanding of React concepts used with Next.js.
  • Experience with SSR and SSG.
  • Knowledge of state-management technologies such as NgRx, Redux, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous programming.
  • Experience with Git and version-control practices.
  • Knowledge of responsive web development and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Strong understanding of frontend architecture and reusable component development.
  • Experience with Lighthouse, PageSpeed Insights, and other performance optimization tools.
  • Good understanding of SEO fundamentals and technical SEO.
  • Strong understanding of web performance, security, scalability, and maintainability.

Leadership & Team Management Skills

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor frontend developers.
  • Strong code-review and technical-review capabilities.
  • Ability to distribute tasks and monitor team progress.
  • Ability to identify technical challenges and guide developers toward solutions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with technical managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong ownership and accountability for product/module delivery.
  • Ability to take independent technical decisions when required.

AI & Modern Development Skills

  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor, or similar tools.
  • Ability to use AI tools for code generation, debugging, refactoring, optimization, and documentation.
  • Understanding of effective prompt engineering for frontend development.
  • Ability to review, validate, and secure AI-generated code.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted testing and code-review practices.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
  • Quick understanding of existing codebases and business logic.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and identify root causes.
  • Good understanding of API integration, logs, and basic backend debugging.
  • Strong focus on application performance and scalability.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Node.js or backend technologies.
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or Vercel.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with Jest, Cypress, Jasmine, Karma, or similar testing frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with JIRA or similar project-management tools.
  • Experience working on SaaS, e-commerce, or public-facing web applications.
