Morning Show Producer

SuperTalk Mississippi is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and creative Show Producer to help deliver Mississippi's premier morning statewide news/talk programming. This is an early-morning position that requires a dependable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, live broadcast environment and can consistently perform under deadline pressure.    

The Show Producer plays a vital role in the daily execution of a live, statewide radio program while also producing engaging digital content for SuperTalk Mississippi's online and social media platforms. This individual will work closely with on-air talent, newsroom staff, and digital teams to ensure a seamless broadcast and extend the reach of our content beyond the airwaves.

Primary Responsibilities

• Produce and coordinate a live statewide broadcast.
• Operate broadcast equipment and ensure smooth execution of live programming.
• Communicate with hosts, guests, newsroom personnel, and technical staff throughout each broadcast.
• Record, edit, and publish audio highlights, interviews, and podcasts.
• Create and edit video clips optimized for digital and social media platforms.
• Maintain high production standards while meeting tight deadlines.
• Assist with planning special broadcasts, remote events, and network programming as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in radio production, broadcast operations, journalism, or related media preferred.
• Strong audio editing skills using professional editing software.
• Experience editing short-form video for digital and social media platforms.
• Familiarity with broadcast automation systems is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced live production environment.
• Knowledge of current events and an interest in news, politics, and Mississippi issues are preferred.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Audition, Audacity, Microsoft Office, Canva, and other digital publishing platforms is preferred.

Schedule:    

This is a full-time position requiring early morning hours, including pre-dawn arrival to prepare for the live broadcast. Occasional evenings, weekends, or holidays may be required to support special events/programming or breaking news coverage.
