Job Summary
The Demand and Supply Planning Manager owns and efficiently manages the demand and supply planning function of the group Procurement function for specific categories and/or Business Unit. Responsible for all the strategic sourcing and oversees all operational aspects of professional procurement of products/services meeting the specified needs of the business at most competitive commercial terms. Play a key role in shaping the Procurement agenda with regards to Savings, Cash and Cost and Risk Management. Responsible for leading the talent and people agenda in his/her area of responsibility making sure the right people sit in the right place.
Job Responsibilities :
- Ensure utilizing all economies of scale and best practices for short and long term sourcing goals and projects.
- Define and communicate the sourcing supply strategy and its implications, to inform and align the respective stakeholders
- Interact on an executive/managerial level within and outside the business to ensure cross alignment in the spirit of long term partnership.
- Lead the delivery of the savings and operating cash flow program in his/her Categories, Cluster and/or Business Unit
- Make timely decisions, balancing analysis with decisiveness
- Develop and make use of competitive insights to shape strategies that counter competitive threats.
- Effectively engage in maintaining all external networks, and continuously builds alliances that will enhance Business’ competitive advantage.
- Remove organizational barriers to delivering exceptional internal and/or external customer service.
- Practice role model behaviour aligned with the operating framework
- Responsible to manage and optimize the financial and budgetary requirements as required
- Identify metrics, tools and processes to optimize sourcing, supplier activities and efficiencies
- Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
- Drive continuous improvement, work simplification and the elimination of non-value-added work
- Drive operational excellence in demand and supply planning
Job Knowledge & Skills :
- Proficiency in demand forecasting and supply chain planning methodologies to effectively balance supply and demand.
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data, trends, and market dynamics to forecast demand accurately and optimize inventory levels
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles, including inventory management, production scheduling, and logistics coordination
- Expertise in supply chain technologies and planning tools to facilitate efficient planning processes and decision-making.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to align planning activities with business goals and objectives.
- ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role
Job Experience :
Minimum 8 year(s) working experience, 5 year(s) relevant working experience, 2 year (s) GCC is a plus

Planning and Scheduling L4
Knowledge in planning and scheduling of the relevant operations of the department, i.e., equipment, vehciles, materials, manpower, consumable etc. and ensure that the works are completed as scheduled.; Demonstrates highest level of skill application, including applying discipline-related processes, tools and systems, and is recognized as a technical leader of a specific discipline. Independently solves unique and complex problems by integrating complicated concepts and creative thought. Provides detailed definition of tasks to others and reviews their technical/process results while contributing towards the development of best practices for the organization.
Material Supply Management L4
Material management include planning, organizaing and control flow of materials from producer or supplier to the client. Implement cost saving methods in each operations.; Demonstrates highest level of skill application, including applying discipline-related processes, tools and systems, and is recognized as a technical leader of a specific discipline. Independently solves unique and complex problems by integrating complicated concepts and creative thought. Provides detailed definition of tasks to others and reviews their technical/process results while contributing towards the development of best practices for the organization.
Supply Chain Management L4
Knowledge of management of all the activities along the supply chain from suppliers to internal logistics within a company and to distribution to customers. This includes ordering, monitoring, billing, etc. The coordinated set of techniques to plan and execute all steps in the global network used to acquire raw materials from vendors, transform them into finished goods, and deliver both goods and services to customers. Understands that it includes chain-wide information sharing, planning, resource synchronization and global performance measurements. ; Demonstrates the uppermost levels of expertise in Supply Chain Management in challenging and complex situations. Plays a key role in determining Distribution Network Configuration and Distribution Strategy, as well as the management of cash flow to arrange the payment terms and methodologies for exchanging funds across entities within the supply chain. Contributes in the development of Supply Chain best practices for the organization.
Material Forecasting L4
Materials forecasting is the process of creating direct materials cost budgets and forecasts to help the business better understand and manage its future profitability. ; Demonstrates highest level of skill application, including applying discipline-related processes, tools and systems, and is recognized as a technical leader of a specific discipline. Independently solves unique and complex problems by integrating complicated concepts and creative thought. Provides detailed definition of tasks to others and reviews their technical/process results while contributing towards the development of best practices for the organization.
Supply Chain Optimization L4
Knowledge of Supply Chain Optimization, the coordination of linked resources across all or part of a supply chain in eliminating or reducing manufacturing and logistics bottlenecks and creating optimized schedules based on shared inventory and order information.; Demonstrates the uppermost levels of expertise in Supply Chain Optimization in challenging and complex situations. Leads Supply Chain Optimization project teams in improvement development, supply chain efficiency and integration, and strengthening cooperation in relationships. Often takes a lead role in highly pressurized situations when there is a need to achieve results. Contributes to the development of Supply Chain Optimization best practices for the organization.

Key Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of total working experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in demand and supply planning/supply chain.
- GCC experience is an advantage.
- Strong experience in demand forecasting and supply chain planning.
- Good knowledge of inventory management, production scheduling and logistics coordination.
- Strong analytical and planning skills.
- Experience with supply chain technologies and planning tools.
- ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
