Job Description
Aqovia is looking for a Senior SQA Engineer to join our agile software development team in Lahore, Pakistan. You will work on fast-paced development projects for our own products as well as client projects.
Accomplished in functional testing, you will be motivated to develop your skills in automation, DevOps&rsquo; and contributing to the whole software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities<ul>
<li>
Write and maintain automated end-to-end tests</li>
<li>Able to write tests in JavaScript or C#</li>
<li>Collaborate with users, and other team members to write acceptance criteria and test plans for user stories.</li>
<li>Carry out functional and exploratory testing of user interfaces and APIs.</li>
<li>File clear, reproducible bug reports.</li>
<li>Establish and maintain test cases, test environments and test data.</li>
<li>Manage software merges and releases.</li>
<li>Proficiency in testing APIs, especially RESTful web services.</li>
<li>Proficiency in querying an SQL database.</li>
<li>Analyse and decompose complex software systems and collaborate with and influence others to improve the overall design.</li>
<li>Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, retrospectives, &lsquo;3 amigos&rsquo;)</li>
</ul>
The Ideal Candidate will have:<ul>
<li>
Relevant degree or equivalent higher professional qualification.</li>
<li>A flair for breaking things and diagnosing problems.</li>
<li>Experience of scripting web automation using tools such as Selenium WebDriver</li>
<li>Experience of API testing tools such as Postman and SOAP UI,</li>
<li>Experience of web diagnostic and debug tools such as Chrome/Firefox Developer Tools and Fiddler.</li>
<li>Understanding of RESTful HTTP services, including API description languages such as OpenAPI (Swagger).</li>
<li>Understanding of Cloud application development, especially Microsoft Azure</li>
<li>Experience of working with source control systems, especially git in a team context.</li>
<li>Understanding of messaging and event-based application architecture.</li>
</ul>

Analytical Mindset: Ability to think critically and analytically to diagnose issues, troubleshoot failures, and optimise processes.</li>

An accomplished developer you will be motivated to develop your skills in microservices, reusable Web Components contributing to the whole software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:<ul>

<li>Automate deployments and monitor services in production.</li>

The Ideal Candidate will have:<ul>

Experience of working in a professional and agile software development environment.</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of C# and the .NET Framework, especially ASP.NET</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of HTML5, ECMAScript 6+, CSS3 and the Web Platform</li>
<li>Strong component-based web development in JavaScript or TypeScript using frameworks such as Web Components, React, VueJs or Angular</li>
<li>In-depth experience in at least one of the following 3 areas:</li>
<li>Offline-first, mobile-first Progressive Web Applications</li>
<li>Micro-front end architectures</li>
<li>Performance monitoring and optimisation of browser-based applications.</li>
<li>Designing Secure performant public-facing, HATEOAS, RESTful web APIs</li>
<li>Be able to explain complex technical issues in simple terms</li>
<li>Interest in microservices architecture</li>
<li>Event-driven applications in .NET or NodeJS using a message bus such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus</li>
<li>Protocol understanding of Ethernet and TCP/IP</li>
<li>An aptitude for solving tough problems</li>
