Job Description:
Aqovia is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Automation) to elevate the quality engineering practices across our digital platforms, financial solutions, and mobile applications. 
This role is fully technical and focused on automation QA. You will champion a modern quality engineering culture where engineers, designers, and product teams share accountability for quality from design through to production. 
You will design, implement, and scale test automation frameworks for both backend microservices (C#/.NET) and mobile applications using Flutter/Dart, enabling fast, reliable delivery in a highly regulated, high-stakes environment. 
As Aqovia continues to scale globally, this role offers a clear path toward technical leadership, principal engineering responsibilities, and influence over CI/CD, observability, and continuous delivery practices. 
Key Responsibilities:
Automation &amp; Test Engineering<ul><li>
Design, implement, and maintain robust automation frameworks for backend and mobile applications.</li><li>
Write automated C# API and microservices tests in close collaboration with developers.</li><li>
Build mobile automation using Dart/Flutter tooling and/or Appium, ensuring scalable multi-platform execution.</li><li>
Contribute to performance, scalability, and load testing aligned with service-level objectives (SLOs).</li></ul>
Engineering Flow &amp; CI/CD<ul><li>
Improve build and release pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or GitLab.</li><li>
Integrate test automation, coverage, and quality gates into the CI/CD lifecycle.</li><li>
Advocate for shorter feedback loops and measurable delivery efficiency.</li></ul>
Systems Thinking &amp; Technical Design<ul><li>
Challenge requirements, architecture, and technical assumptions before development.</li><li>
Contribute to testing strategies for financial transactions, regulated integrations, and third-party technology partners.</li><li>
Promote engineering patterns that increase testability across the stack.</li></ul>
Reliability &amp; Observability<ul><li>
Use logging, dashboards, APM, and distributed tracing to monitor release health.</li><li>
Contribute to blameless root-cause analysis and drive measurable improvements.</li></ul>
Qualifications:
Technical Expertise<ul><li>
Strong experience writing C#/.NET automated tests for backend APIs and microservices.</li><li>
Proven experience in mobile test automation, ideally with native Flutter tools or Appium.</li><li>
Hands-on experience configuring CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing.</li><li>
Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., App Insights, Grafana, distributed tracing).</li></ul>
Desirable Industry Experience<ul><li>
Experience working in FinTech, Banking, Crypto, or other regulated environments.</li><li>
Demonstrated capability working with Continuous Delivery and automated compliance controls.</li></ul>

As an accomplished developer, you will expand your expertise in microservices, distributed systems, decentralised architectures, and reusable Web Components, contributing across the full software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:<ul><li> 
Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, retrospectives, &lsquo;3 amigos&rsquo;).</li><li>
Design and build high-performance Fintech and Web3 applications, microservices, and distributed systems using C#, ASP.NET, NodeJS, and modern Web Components.</li><li>
Build features integrating blockchain networks, smart contracts, crypto wallets, tokenised assets, and NFT platforms.</li><li>
Automate deployments and monitor production services with a strong focus on reliability and security.</li><li>
Develop high-quality code adhering to clear specifications and aligned with blockchain/Web3 security standards.</li><li>
Implement, refactor, and optimise product code (C#) following best practices for maintainability, testability, and performance.</li><li>
Review and debug code to identify defects, performance bottlenecks, Web3 integration issues, or technical debt.</li><li>
Work closely with test engineers to ensure robust test coverage, including smart contract and blockchain node integration testing.</li><li>
Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, continually improving team velocity and engineering practices.</li><li>
Mentor junior team members (depending on experience) and lead technical activities as required.</li><li>
Stay current with emerging trends in Fintech, DeFi, Blockchain protocols, Layer-2 scaling, token standards, digital identity, and decentralised application (dApp) development.</li></ul>
 The Ideal Candidate Will Have:<ul><li> 
Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and agile/XP methodologies.</li><li>
Strong knowledge of C#, .NET, and ASP.NET, with exposure to secure financial or decentralised applications.</li><li>
Experience with crypto wallet integration, digital signatures, or token standards</li><li>
