Job Description
Aqovia is looking for a Technical Business Analyst to join our software engineering department. You will work in fast-paced development teams for our own products and/or client projects. As a Technical Business Analyst you will be working on our consulting projects, primarily designing RESTful API services.
Here's what you'll do:<ul>
<li>
Capture and curate business requirements and system documentation in JIRA/Confluence as , user stories, API design, API enhancements</li>
<li>Write estimate-able user stories, in JIRA, for developers including acceptance criteria</li>
<li>Design RESTful web APIs for new and existing products in an API first context, in accordance with strategic guidance provided by the technical architect.</li>
<li>Collaborate with engineering team members and business stakeholders to:<div>
<ul><li>Design RESTful web APIs</li></ul>
<ul><li>Design Data Models</li></ul>
<ul><li>Design event-driven processes in a distributed systems (micro-services)</li></ul>
<ul><li>Specify contracts for messaging and web services, primarily using JSON Schema and Open API Specification (Swagger), respectively.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Validate/verify APIs by creating requests and asserting responses in Postman.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Document processes and data models, primarily using BPMN</li></ul>
<ul><li>Define acceptance test scenarios in a DSL, such as Gherkin and generate test data sets</li></ul>
</div></li><li>Support product owners and QA in acceptance testing</li>
<li>Participate in agile team ceremonies</li>
<li>Write customer facing documentation</li>
<li>Coach / mentor junior analyst(s)</li>
<li>Support data engineers responsible for on-boarding customers/data into platform</li>
</ul>
We're looking for someone who has:<ul>
<li>
Understanding of REST and its application to web APIs, able to use tools like Postman and Insomnia</li>
<li>Understanding of HTTP headers, authentication, authorization and response codes</li>
<li>Commitment to agile and lean development principles.</li>
<li>Commercial experience as a technical business analyst across multiple different customers / projects</li>
<li>Excellent business interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Able to translate business needs to engineers, and explain complex details to non-technical people.</li>
<li>Experience of writing user stories for agile development teams.</li>
<li>Strong analysis and problem-solving skills</li>
<li>Experience documenting processes using standards such as BPMN and UML.</li>
<li>Understanding of event driven workflows</li>
<li>Comfortable working with source code (Git) to manage API specifications.</li>
<li>Able to work with a web API testing tool such as Postman, including crafting authentication tokens</li>
</ul>

Job Description:
We are seeking an expert Senior or Lead Developer to own the architecture, development, and strategy for our white-labeled mobile platform. You will be responsible for the entire Flutter client and Firebase (Backend-for-Frontend) stack. This role requires a blend of deep, hands-on technical expertise, architectural vision, and leadership to build a high-performance, composable, and rapidly deployable financial application. You will be the primary technical owner of the highly customisable flutter frontend. 
Core Technical Responsibilities: 
<ul>
<li>
Hands-on Flutter Development: Lead the development of the core Flutter application, building clean, testable, and modular features (composability) that can be enabled or disabled per tenant.</li>
<li>Firebase BFF Architecture: Architect and implement the complete Firebase &quot;Backend-for-Frontend&quot; (BFF), including writing, testing, and deploying secure and efficient Cloud Functions (TypeScript/Node.js).</li>
<li>Build the &quot;Seam&quot;: Implement the critical integration layer connecting the app to the core financial engine:<ul>
<li>Command Proxy (Outbound): Develop Cloud Functions that act as a secure proxy, authenticating user requests (via Firebase ID Tokens) and forwarding them to the Azure financial service layer.</li>
<li>Webhook Receivers (Inbound): Build and secure HTTP-triggered Cloud Functions to receive asynchronous updates from Azure (e.g., &quot;Transaction Complete&quot;) and write that new state to Firestore.</li>
</ul></li><li>Realtime Data Modeling: Design, manage, and optimize the Firestore database schema as a denormalized, high-performance read-cache, powering all realtime UI updates.</li>
</ul>
Security &amp; Authentication:
Implement and manage Firebase Authentication as the primary identity provider for all tenants.<ul>
<li>
Write and maintain robust Firestore and Cloud Storage Security Rules to ensure strict data isolation and user-scoped permissions.</li>
<li>File Management: Integrate Firebase Cloud Storage for secure, per-user file uploads and downloads (e.g., KYC documents, statements).</li>
<li>Notifications: Configure and manage Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver critical, out-of-app push notifications (e.g., &quot;Payment Received,&quot; &quot;Security Alert&quot;).</li>
</ul>
Architectural &amp; Leadership Responsibilities 
<ul>
<li>
Technical Ownership: Act as the ultimate technical authority for the mobile and BFF platform, making key architectural decisions to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability.</li>
</ul>
White-Labeling &amp; Provisioning:
Design and refine the theme-driven configuration system (JSON files, asset bundles) that enables deep brand customization.<ul>
<li>
Own and manage the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts (Terraform) responsible for automatically provisioning new, isolated Firebase projects for each client.</li>
<li>Composability Strategy: Architect the Flutter application's modular design, allowing clients to &quot;compose&quot; their app by selecting from a library of available features.</li>
<li>Standards &amp; Mentorship: Define and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and state management patterns (e.g., Riverpod, Bloc) for the Flutter codebase. Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews and technical guidance.</li>
<li>DevOps &amp; CI/CD: Establish and maintain a robust CI/CD pipeline (e.g., GitHub Actions, Codemagic) for the automated testing, building, and deployment of both the Flutter app and Firebase services.</li>
<li>Strategic Roadmap: Collaborate with product managers and the Azure backend team to define the technical roadmap, API contracts, and integration points for the platform.</li>
</ul>
Required Skills &amp; Experience 
<ul>
<li>
Expert-level proficiency in Flutter &amp; Dart, with a portfolio of complex, high-performance apps shipped to both iOS and Android.</li>
<li>Deep, production-grade expertise across the Firebase suite: Firestore, Firebase Authentication, Cloud Functions (Node.js/TypeScript), Cloud Storage, and FCM.</li>
<li>Proven experience building a Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) architecture using Cloud Functions or similar serverless technology.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with direct experience using Terraform being a major plus.</li>
<li>Demonstrable experience designing and managing complex Firestore data models (denormalization) and writing secure, efficient Security Rules.</li>
<li>Expertise in modern Flutter state management (e.g., Riverpod, Bloc), asynchronous programming (Streams), and dependency injection.</li>
<li>Strong familiarity with consuming RESTful APIs, handling webhooks, and working with JSON/ID Tokens.</li>
<li>A &quot;lead&quot; mindset: high sense of ownership, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong communication.</li>
</ul>
Nice-to-Haves

Experience in the FinTech, banking, or financial services industry.</li>
<li>Experience with the Azure ecosystem (even if just from an integration perspective).</li>
