Job Title: Swimming Pool TechnicianPosition Summary:The Swimming Pool Technician is responsible for the on-site maintenance, repair, and servicing of swimming pools and spas. This role ensures pools are chemically balanced, mechanically operational, aesthetically clean, and safe for clients. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with strong technical skills and a commitment to quality.Key Responsibilities:1. Routine Maintenance &amp; Cleaning:<ul><li>Perform weekly or bi-weekly scheduled maintenance visits to client locations.</li><li>Skim, brush, and vacuum pools to remove debris.</li><li>Empty skimmer and pump baskets.</li><li>Clean pool tiles, decks, and surrounding areas as needed.</li><li>Backwash or clean pool filters (DE, sand, cartridge).</li></ul>2. Water Chemistry &amp; Testing:<ul><li>Test and analyze pool water chemistry using test strips, liquid kits, or digital testers.</li><li>Adjust chemical levels (chlorine, pH, alkalinity, stabilizer, calcium hardness) to meet safe and optimal standards.</li><li>Add necessary chemicals and sanitizers safely and accurately.</li><li>Identify and resolve water clarity issues (cloudiness, algae blooms, staining).</li></ul>3. Equipment Inspection, Repair &amp; Troubleshooting:<ul><li>Conduct visual and operational inspections of pool equipment: pumps, motors, filters, heaters, chlorinators, automatic cleaners, control systems, and lights.</li><li>Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.</li><li>Perform minor to moderate repairs on-site (e.g., replacing seals, gaskets, valves, timers, switches, piping).</li><li>Identify major repair needs and communicate recommendations to the service manager and client.</li></ul>4. Customer Service &amp; Communication:<ul><li>Interact professionally with clients, addressing questions and concerns.</li><li>Clearly explain work performed, chemical adjustments, and any necessary future repairs.</li><li>Maintain detailed service records for each client visit using a mobile app or paperwork.</li><li>Provide exceptional service to build trust and ensure customer satisfaction.</li></ul>5. Safety &amp; Compliance:<ul><li>Adhere to all safety protocols for handling chemicals, electrical components, and equipment.</li><li>Operate company vehicle safely and maintain a clean driving record.</li><li>Ensure all work complies with local health and safety regulations.</li><li>Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and inventory.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Requirements:<ul><li>Experience: 1+ years of experience as a pool technician or in a similar maintenance/repair role (HVAC, plumbing, electrical experience is a plus).</li><li>Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude. Understanding of hydraulic systems, basic plumbing, and low-voltage electrical systems.</li><li>Chemical Knowledge: Solid understanding of pool water chemistry and safe chemical handling.</li><li>Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 50+ lbs, working outdoors in various weather conditions, bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.</li><li>Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver&rsquo;s license with a clean record. CPO (Certified Pool Operator) or equivalent certification is a strong plus (or willingness to obtain within first 90 days).</li><li>Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, time management, and customer service skills. Self-motivated and able to work independently.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience with automated pool systems (Jandy, Pentair, Hayward), saltwater chlorine generators, and variable-speed pumps.</li><li>Basic computer/tablet skills for digital work orders and inventory.</li></ul>Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: Up to QAR1.00 per month
