Job Title: Bookkeeper Company: Abounding Grace Foundation Location: Pasadena, California, United States Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time Salary: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour Job Overview Abounding Grace Foundation is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team in Pasadena, California. We are a compassionate organisation committed to transforming the lives of prisoners by providing support, hope, and assistance to inmates who have surrendered their lives to Christ. As our Bookkeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of our foundation, allowing us to continue our important mission. This position offers flexibility and can be structured as either a full-time or part-time role depending on the ideal candidate. Responsibilities As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our financial records and managing all bookkeeping duties. Your day-to-day tasks will include:  <ul><li>Managing all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable.</li><li>Processing and accurately recording donations, grants, and other income.</li><li>Conducting regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy.</li><li>Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.</li><li>Assisting with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.</li><li>Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements for a non-profit organisation.</li><li>Maintaining a clear and organised system of financial records and documentation.</li><li>Liaising with external accountants for annual audits and tax preparations.</li><li>Processing payroll in a timely and accurate manner.</li></ul>Qualifications The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of non-profit accounting principles. Key qualifications include:  <ul><li>Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.</li><li>Strong proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or similar platforms.</li><li>A solid understanding of bookkeeping best practices and accounting principles.</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.</li><li>Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with MS Excel.</li><li>The ability to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion and integrity.</li><li>Experience working within a non-profit or charitable organisation is highly desirable.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li></ul>
