Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Medication Administration: Administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians, ensuring proper dosage, timing, and documentation.</li>
<li>Specialized Care Support: Provide individualized care for residents with specific medical needs, including assistance with personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs).</li>
<li>Documentation &amp; Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely medication records and documentation, including reporting any adverse reactions or medication errors to the supervising nurse.</li>
<li>Resident Monitoring: Monitor residents for side effects or changes in condition related to medication, notifying the healthcare team of any concerns or changes in their health status.</li>
<li>Medication Storage &amp; Handling: Ensure medications are stored safely and securely in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.</li>
<li>Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work closely with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care and outcomes for residents.</li>
<li>Compliance &amp; Safety: Follow all regulations, guidelines, and protocols for medication administration and safety to ensure the highest standard of care.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent preferred</li>
<li>State certification as a Medication Aide preferred, on-the-job training available.</li>
<li>Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in senior care or assisted living (preferred)</li>
<li>Strong knowledge of medication administration, safety protocols, and infection control practices</li>
<li>Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members</li>
<li>Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li>
