About the Role</b></h3><p>
As a Children's Librarian, you'll help bring the library to life for our youngest patrons. You'll plan and lead engaging programs and storytimes, assist children and caregivers with library materials and services, and support outreach efforts and tours. You'll also help patrons navigate technology, online resources, and library tools-all while creating a welcoming, inclusive space where curiosity is encouraged.</p><p>

What We're Looking For</b></h3><ul><li><p>
Bachelor's degree - required</p></li><li><p>
At least two (2) years of library operations experience (or an equivalent combination of training and experience)</p></li><li><p>
Ability to obtain Indiana Public Librarian Certification LC5 within three (3) years of hire</p></li><li><p>
Valid driver's license (for outreach activities)</p></li><li><p>
Strong communication skills and a genuine enjoyment of working with children and families</p></li><li><p>

DAY TO DAY AS A SHELVER</b></h3><div>
As a part-time Shelver, you'll keep our collection easy to find and ready for the next big discovery-because a well-ordered shelf is a happy shelf.<br>

<b>Key responsibilities</b><br>
<ul><li>Sort and shelve books and other materials accurately</li><li>File items alphabetically and numerically (yes, both!)</li><li>Assist with basic processing of materials so they're shelf-ready</li><li>Work cooperatively with staff to support branch goals</li></ul><br>

In this role, you will assist patrons from around the world with family history research, provide expert guidance on genealogical resources and methodologies, develop engaging educational programs, and help promote one of the nation's premier genealogy collections.</p><h2 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
What You'll Do</b></h2><p>
As a Senior Genealogy Librarian, you will:</p><ul><li>
Provide expert research assistance to patrons exploring family histories and historical records from around the world.</li><li>
Guide customers in the use of genealogical databases, archival collections, and historical resources.</li><li>
Develop and present workshops, classes, tours, and community programs focused on genealogy and family history.</li><li>
Promote Genealogy Center services through outreach initiatives, partnerships, and participation in community events.</li><li>
Build relationships with historical societies, genealogical organizations, and other community partners.</li><li>
Evaluate and recommend genealogy resources, databases, and collections to ensure they remain current and relevant.</li><li>
Assist patrons with library technology, including computers, software, mobile devices, and specialized research tools.</li><li>
Stay current with emerging genealogy research methods, technologies, and best practices.</li><li>
