Initiate absence management processes through effective communication and utilization of integrated disability management protocols, while adhering to company, city, state and federal regulations and promoting benefit cost effectiveness for AEP in system-wide management of all employees off work for leave, including sick leave, FMLA, Workers Compensation, Long Term Disability and military absences.<div></div><div>
Job Description</div><div></div><div>
What you&rsquo;ll do:</div><ul><li>
Perform independent case management and benefit assessments using accepted practices to determine appropriate interventions and compliance. Must demonstrate high proficiency in the administration and understanding of federal, state, local and company leave laws as well as regulations including the Family Medical leave Act (FMLA), Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other paid state leave programs.</li></ul><ul><li>
Demonstrate high proficiency in the administration of AEP benefit plans including Long Term Disability (LTD), sick pay and short term disability.</li></ul><ul><li>
Proactively counsel and advise stakeholders such as Human Resources, business unit partners, Legal and employees on absence management issues.</li></ul><ul><li>
Perform all transactional duties associated with absence management processes.</li></ul><ul><li>
Independently lead and manage various department projects in order to meet required objectives and deadlines as needed or assigned.</li></ul><ul><li>
Monitor employee absence case progress for achievement of targeted milestones such as benefit change dates from 100% sick pay benefit utilization to 60% sick pay benefit utilization, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) exhaustion or long term disability (LTD) plan application qualification dates. Utilizing case management best practice guidelines, provide required follow-up communications to both employees and business unit leaders regarding return to work ability or continued leave status. Facilitate the interactive process regarding requests for accommodations in order to reach the most appropriate and cost effective outcomes.</li></ul><ul><li>
Authorize and communicate the approval or suspension of AEP sick pay plan benefits to supervisors, Payroll and external benefit vendors.</li></ul><ul><li>
Perform individual case analysis and benefits assessments utilizing accepted practices to determine appropriate case management action while providing employee return to work recommendations to business unit management. Utilize both internal and external services including independent medical exams, physician peer reviews and investigative services to maximize absence management consistency and desired program outcomes.</li></ul><ul><li>
Maintain program cost effectiveness through active case monitoring, evaluation, and coordination of benefits for absence cost recovery.</li></ul><ul><li>
Develop personalized return-to-work plans for employees that are consistent with standard practices and procedures by collaborating with relevant stakeholders in order to both acknowledge adequate treatment received and provide a safe return to work.</li></ul><ul><li>
Maintain confidential employee records and protect personal identifiable information.</li></ul><ul><li>
Prepare case notes and complete applicable forms and relevant absence management system data fields to document case activities in compliance with standard practices and regulations.</li></ul><ul><li>
Provide training, audits and case review, process documentation and consultative services to other Leave Specialists.</li></ul><div></div><div>

Education</i>:</div><ul><li>
Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, industrial management, health care administration, psychology or equivalent education or 5 years experience in medical terminology, case management or human resources.</li></ul><div><i>
Experience:</i></div><ul><li>
A minimum of two years of experience in medical terminology, case management or human resources.</li></ul><div><i>
In addition:</i></div><ul><li>
Preferred skill set is focus and experience in Worker&rsquo;s Compensation</li><li>
Physical demand level is Sedentary.</li><li>
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels within the organization. Conflict resolution skills required.</li><li>
Ability to develop presentations and lead meetings to multiple stakeholder groups.</li><li>
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new programs/databases quickly. Competency using Word, Excel and PowerPoint.</li><li>
Overtime as needed.</li><li>
Organizational and analytic/problem solving skills including ability to prioritize your workload.</li></ul><div></div><div>

Position is responsible for conducting analysis and collaborating with business unit experts to develop new business models. Perform higher level financial modeling to analyze various scenarios of renewable and new technology build plans. Support company planning processes around the identification, analysis, and pre-screening of system and customer needs with a focus on modular generation and resiliency focused resources. Continually look for connections between the Company's existing plans, customer needs, technology attribute and regulatory paradigms to add incremental value and increase the likelihood of project success.<div></div><div>

Heavily focused on new generation acquisitions and evaluations of corporate opportunities</li></ul></div><ul><li>
Perform financial modeling of investments and assess how they fit within the context of current and future company plans and customer needs.</li><li>
Interface with various operating company and service corp. experts, suppliers, and customers, to refine analyses.</li><li>
Stay abreast of current technologies and market participants in the power generation sector.</li><li>
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge and database of technology pricing, trends, and risks.</li></ul><ul><li>
In addition, maintain active summary of developers in the new generation market along with status of applications for new projects in the RTO (PJM &amp; SPP) interconnection queues.</li><li>
Assist and coordinate as necessary due diligence activities associated with the addition of generation resources, including coordination with internal and external subject matter experts, tracking and documenting due diligence materials, and providing summary reports as requested to management.</li><li>
Gather information and model customer preferences to assist in the development of new products and services.</li><li>
Develop presentations, reports, and other internal and external communication tools to convey the detailed aspects of our plans to audiences across a wide range of backgrounds.</li><li>

WHAT WE&rsquo;RE LOOKING FOR</div><div><br>
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related field of study.</div><div></div><div><br>
Work Experience: A minimum of six (6) years of energy sector experience in an engineering, business development, financial and/or business strategy role.</div><div></div><div><br>
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:</div><div><ul><li><br>
Fundamental knowledge of performance characteristics and economics of various renewable generation options;</li></ul></div><ul><li>
Strong analytical, oral and written communication and presentation skills are required;</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to successfully interact with a diverse set of internal and external personnel is required, including executive-level interaction;</li><li>
Experience working with cross-functional teams, customers, vendors or partners is preferred.</li><li>
Experience in financial modeling, economic forecasting, or similar analytical experience is preferred.</li></ul><div></div><div>
