Scope and Purpose</b></p>
<p>
The American University of Kuwait (AUK) invites applications for the position of Director of Public Relations and Marketing.<br>
The Director serves as the university&rsquo;s chief communications strategist and brand steward, responsible for advancing AUK&rsquo;s visibility, reputation, and engagement across all audiences: internal, local, and international. Working closely with the President and senior leadership, the Director will lead the development and execution of integrated communication, marketing, and public relations strategies that reflect AUK&rsquo;s liberal arts mission and commitment to academic excellence.</p>
<p><b>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop, implement, and evaluate the university&rsquo;s overall marketing and communications strategy in alignment with institutional goals.</li>
<li>Oversee media relations, public information, publications, digital presence, social media, and advertising.</li>
<li>Provide creative and strategic direction for student recruitment campaigns and institutional initiatives.</li>
<li>Manage brand identity and ensure consistency of tone, message, and visual presentation across all platforms.</li>
<li>Strengthen community engagement and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including media, corporate partners, and alumni.</li>
<li>Supervise and mentor the PR &amp; Marketing team, fostering a collaborative, professional, and results-oriented environment.</li>
<li>Advise the President and senior leadership on public positioning and reputation management.</li>

<ul>
<li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field<br>
(Master&rsquo;s preferred).</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Experience</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, preferably within higher education or a mission-driven organization.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Skills</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated ability to design and lead effective campaigns that reach diverse audiences.</li>
<li>Strong leadership, management, and interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English and Arabic.</li>
<li>Strategic thinker with proven experience in brand management and digital media.</li></ul></div><br>
