</div></div></div><div><div><div><p>We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team located in Etters, PA. This critical role will report directly to the Global Operations Manager, Power Solutions.</p>
<p></p><p><b>Role Purpose</b></p>
<p>The Quality Engineer will serve as the primary liaison between customers and Amphenol Power solution group for all quality-related matters. This role focuses on managing customer complaints, conducting onsite visits, coordinating with third-party service providers for sorting, inspection, and rework, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory quality standards. The position requires strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication abilities, and a willingness to travel as needed.</p>
<p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p>
<p>Customer Support &amp; Communication</p>
<ul><li>Function as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for customer quality issues.</li>
<li>Lead customer communication related to non-conformances, field returns, reliability concerns, and process deviations.</li>
<li>Participate in customer visits, audits, and meetings to review quality performance and address issues.</li>
</ul>
<p>Complaint Management &amp; Corrective Actions</p>
<ul><li>Investigate customer complaints and coordinate containment actions with third-party service providers.</li>
<li>Analyze quality failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions using 8D methodology.</li>
<li>Conduct root cause analysis and implement robust corrective actions using structured problem-solving tools (8D, Fishbone, 5-Why, FMEA, DOE).</li>
<li>Oversee sorting, rework, and verification activities performed by external partners.</li>
</ul>
<p>Quality Planning &amp; Documentation</p>
<ul><li>Define and implement quality plans to ensure customer requirements are met.</li>
<li>Maintain and update quality documentation, including complaint reports, audits, and corrective action reports.</li>
<li>Support APQP/PPAP deliverables for new product introductions, engineering changes, and customer approvals.</li>
</ul>
<p>Metrics &amp; Reporting</p>
<ul><li>Track and report quality metrics (defect rates, customer returns, warranty claims, COPQ) to internal stakeholders.</li>
<li>Measure customer satisfaction and use feedback to drive improvements.</li>
<li>Provide dashboards and performance summaries to operations, leadership, and global teams.</li>
</ul>
<p>Training &amp; Collaboration</p>
<ul><li>Provide guidance on quality standards and best practices for internal teams and suppliers.</li>
<li>Work closely with global operations, engineering and production teams to ensure alignment on quality expectations.</li>
</ul><ul><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing internal defects, improving First Pass Yield (FPY), and enhancing process capability.</li>
<li>Collaborate with design and manufacturing engineering teams to review PFMEA, control plans, and validation plans.</li>
</ul>
<p>Travel &amp; Coordination</p>
<ul><li>Travel to customer sites to investigate complaints and resolve issues.</li>
<li>Coordinate with third-party companies for sorting, rework, and containment activities.</li>
</ul>
<p></p><p><b>Qualifications &amp; Experience</b></p>
<p><b>Education:</b></p>
<ul><li><b>BS in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Equivalent
</b></li></ul><p><b>Experience:</b></p>
<ul><li>5&ndash;8 years in manufacturing or related industry</li>
<li>Preferred background: Injection Molding, Stamping Process, and Assembly Process (connectors/wiring harness)</li>
<li>Experience in customer handling and managing quality issues.</li>
<li>Direct experience with measuring instruments, inspection tools, and testing equipment</li>
</ul>
<p></p><p><b>Skills &amp; Competencies</b></p>
<ul><li>Knowledge/training in QC tools</li>
<li>Proficiency with Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC</li>
<li>Expertise in 8D reporting and problem-solving techniques</li>
<li>Awareness/training in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, VDA standards</li>
<li>Strong decision-making, team building, and communication skills</li>
<li>Excellent presentation skills</li>
<li>Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) with the ability to perform advanced data analysis is a plus.</li>
<li>Knowledge of connector-level environmental and electrical testing methods is a plus.</li>
