Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>
Working with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities</li><li>
Ensure aircraft readiness as described in the appropriate manuals, including all FAR and Med-Trans requirements, and aircraft cleanliness duties</li><li>
Maintain accurate Med-Trans and regulatory documentation and record keeping</li><li>
Effectively communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners</li><li>
Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following protocol for recording Med-Trans change board details</li><li>
Accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training</li></ul><p>

JOB SUMMARY<br>
The <b>Supervisor of Quality Assurance</b> is responsible for the maintaining unit deployment and contract management, shift accountability, coordinating daily operations, and developing and executing prescribed policies and procedures. This position conducts quality improvement case reviews, data management, feedback, continuing education development and training. Assists in bringing resolution to all clinical complaints and investigations serving as the customer liaison. Is active in the development, coordinating and administration of continuing education and remedial training in the scope of Quality Assurance and Improvement. These responsibilities are inclusive of the long-term goals of the Communications Center, as well as the daily actives and functions of the Communications Center.<br>

<b>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES</b><br>
<ul><li>Maintains exceptional knowledge of specified service contracts.</li><li>Effectively communicates with and motivates employees.
</li><li>Serves as a departmental resource and deals effectively with operational difficulties within the communications center. Interacts to effectively bring resolution to departmental issues and provides adequate follow-up.</li><li>Effectively deals with departmental conflicts and provides adequate follow-up.</li><li>Maintains departmental records and reports as assigned.</li><li>Manages and maintains GMR&rsquo;s system status plan and assures departmental compliance.</li><li>Promotes high level of morale among department employees.</li><li>Develops skills and talents of all personnel and ensures equal employment opportunities for all employees.

</li><li>Ensure customer service levels are met through call review, customer relation meetings serving as the customer quality assurance liaison.
</li><li>Monitors staff performance and triage flows for customers.</li><li>Functions as a System Status Controller when necessary.</li><li>Formulates improvement plans in response to customer variances within the triage processes.</li><li>Reviews of clinical campaigns for appropriate disposition assignments.</li><li>Serves on several subcommittees, i.e. Medical Dispatch Review Committee and AMPDS Steering Committee as well as appropriate local, regional and State dispatch related committees or groups as assigned. This individual may also participate in NAEMD activities if requested.</li><li>Reviews trade literature for pertinent information and relevant new technology to keep the call center current with the industry.</li><li>Development, administration and implementation of Quality Assurance/Improvement projects, goals, and objectives for the communications department.</li><li>Understands and maintains equipment located in the communications center ensuring efficiency of operations.</li><li>Effectively communicates, motivates, and promotes high level of moral among employees.

POSITION SUMMARY:</b></p><p>
Reporting to the Clinical Education Specialist, the Instructor functions as an Instructor for identified courses and cohorts and coordinates programs as assigned. Instructs in all levels of EMS education: courses in the NYS DOH Education Standards framework, refresher education, and standardized specialty courses.</p><p></p><p><b><br>
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><ul><li>
Develops and revises course content and curriculum as assigned including: objectives, lesson plans, syllabi, evaluation process, and educational tools and ensures that materials meet the NYS DOH EMS Education Standards.</li><li>
Ensures that curricula is current according to NYS DOH standards and current evidence informed practice.</li><li>
Designs curriculum across a variety of platforms: traditional face-to-face format; hybrid delivery; and online courses.</li><li>
Develops course materials and posts to course online platform in identified time frame as appropriate.</li><li>
Coordinates program courses as assigned. Includes the planning, implementation, and evaluation process per Program procedures.</li><li>
Presents content for each course as mutually established with the Operations Manager and/or Clinical Education Specialist.</li><li>
Coordinates labs as assigned.</li><li>
Serves as a lab instructor as assigned.</li><li>
Maintains accurate records and files of courses, students, and programs.</li><li>
Evaluates student progress periodically, consults with the Operations Manager and/or Clinical Education Specialist. Documents problems as they arise.</li><li>
Evaluates students in all three domains (cognitive, psychomotor, and affective) and provides feedback to students on a frequent basis.</li><li>
Participates in the item development, revision, and analysis process to meet accreditation standards.</li><li>
Reviews student evaluation forms and student patient care reports as requested and provides students with appropriate feedback.</li><li>
Supervises students in the clinical areas as scheduled in conjunction with the Clinical Coordinator, as appropriate.</li><li>
Provides limited amount of tutoring as requested.</li><li>
Maintains examination security through monitoring all exams and securing evaluation tools under lock and key (or electronic equivalent).</li><li>
Remains current with State and local EMS and accreditation requirements, policies, and procedures.</li><li>
