About the team:
Angi is seeking a Senior Engineer I to join our Data Infrastructure team, responsible for building and operating the foundational platforms that power data processing, storage, and analytics across the organization. This role will focus on evolving our lakehouse architecture, data replication systems, and orchestration frameworks while enabling scalable, reliable, and efficient data workflows.
What You'll Do:<ul><li>
Design, build, and operate critical data infrastructure platforms (lakehouse, replication, orchestration, and distributed compute)</li><li>
Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of platform services supporting enterprise data workloads</li><li>
Contribute to infrastructure architecture decisions aligned with large-scale, modern data platform standards</li><li>
Partner closely with engineering, analytics, and product teams to support data platform adoption and migration initiatives</li><li>
Drive improvements in developer productivity through automation, tooling, and AI/agentic workflows</li><li>
Participate in on-call rotations and lead troubleshooting efforts for complex production issues</li><li>
Produce clear, comprehensive documentation and operational runbooks to support platform usage and reliability</li></ul>
Who You Are:<ul><li>
5+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform engineering, or data engineering roles</li><li>
Experience working on highly cohesive engineering teams that collaborate in real time to solve complex technical challenges</li><li>
Strong background in infrastructure architecture within large-scale or enterprise environments</li><li>
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Amazon Web Services), container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes), and distributed systems</li><li>
Extensive experience with end-to-end Kubernetes management, including cluster provisioning, lifecycle management, and observability</li><li>
Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and tools (e.g., Terraform, crossplane, or Pulumi) to automate and manage cloud environments</li><li>
Proven experience self-hosting and managing core infrastructure and open-source tools as an alternative to using commercial managed services</li><li>
Experience with data platforms, including lakehouse architectures, data replication, and orchestration frameworks (e.g., Airflow, Kafka, Trino, Iceberg)</li><li>
Demonstrated experience using AI/agentic engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools to improve development efficiency and workflows</li><li>
Demonstrated ability to pivot quickly in response to changing priorities while maintaining high-quality delivery</li><li>
Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts and tradeoffs to stakeholders</li><li>
Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and engage effectively with both technical and non-technical partners</li><li>
Track record of producing clear, high-quality documentation and enabling others through shared knowledge</li><li>
Mindset of an enabler&mdash;focused not only on building systems, but on empowering other teams to use them effectively</li></ul>

About the team
The Technical Operations team at Angi keeps our IT environment running exceptionally for every employee. We're a fast-paced, collaborative team that's always looking to improve &ndash; and we're looking for a motivated, customer-service focused IT Support Technician II to help us do just that. This role is based in our Denver office 3 to 5 days per week, with some flexibility for work from home days based on team workload.
What you&rsquo;ll do
The IT Support Technician II serves as a key connection point between employees and high-level systems engineering, delivering high-quality IT support across hardware, software, and infrastructure. Beyond day-to-day troubleshooting, this role contributes to broader initiatives including endpoint management, asset operations, conference room management, and site deployments, directly impacting the productivity and experience of Angi's workforce.<ul><li>
Endpoint Support &amp; Troubleshooting Provide Tier 1 &amp; 2 deskside and remote support across Windows and Mac endpoints. Perform advanced troubleshooting of hardware, OS, drivers, network connectivity, VPN, SSO, and productivity tools (e.g., M365, Google Workspace, conferencing platforms).</li><li>
Device Deployment &amp; Lifecycle Management Prepare, deploy, and maintain laptops and desktops using standard MDM tools (e.g., Intune, Jamf). Own the full device lifecycle &mdash; including refreshes, one-off replacements, RMA/warranty coordination, and secure decommissioning/data sanitization for e-recycling. Remediate vulnerabilities and ensure assets remain current with software and InfoSec standards.</li><li>
Inventory &amp; Asset Management Manage on-site inventory to ensure stock availability for operations. Coordinate with ITAM on shipping and logistics, maintain deployment runbooks, and keep asset records accurate with minimal rework. Conduct regular audits and provide tailored reports to support organizational directives.</li><li>
Onboarding &amp; Employee Experience Own the IT onboarding experience, ensuring all new hires have their equipment and basic system access in place by the end of their first week. Support conference rooms and events through A/V setup, video conferencing configuration, and rapid incident triage during live meetings.</li><li>
Documentation &amp; Knowledge Sharing Contribute to the team knowledge base and SOPs by documenting root causes and permanent fixes for recurring issues. Cross-train team members on new tools and practices, and collaborate with engineering teams on escalations, changes, and incident response.</li><li>
Additional Expectations Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours critical issues. Travel to various locations to support site buildouts, team events, and field support needs. Participation in guild activities is encouraged as a path toward expanded responsibilities with engineering teams.</li></ul>
Who you are<ul><li>
2+ years in a technical desktop/endpoint support role with a strong customer service focus, including proven Tier 2 ownership, escalation handling, and executive level support</li><li>
Experience with ticketing/ITSM platforms, SLA adherence, and change/control processes; clear written documentation skills</li><li>
Proficiency with Windows 11 and macOS administration, endpoint security, drivers/firmware, and device management tooling (Jamf &amp;Intune)</li><li>
Hands-on networking fundamentals, VPN clients, and SSO/MFA troubleshooting</li><li>
Demonstrated inventory management practices with ability to organize data within a spreadsheet</li></ul>
