 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 
 The Senior Planning Engineer leads the planning and scheduling functions across large-scale projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives, timelines, and budgets.

 Programme Development &amp; Management

 Preparation, submission and updating of baseline programme.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Follow-up subcontractors&rsquo; programs in coordination with baseline programme.

 Prepare and maintain the project As Built program and close out schedule.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Prepare regular updates and track schedule of resources (plant and manpower) to meet activities milestones.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Prepare regular updates, and tracks material schedules (submissions, approvals, orders, deliveries in accordance with contract schedule ensuring timely availability of materials whilst preventing negative schedule impact) and produce related reports to the Planning Manager.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Overview performance of weekly backups of all modified and submitted schedules.
 </li>

 Reporting &amp; Communication

 <ul>
 
 <li>
 Generate and/or review periodical reports, and lookaheads.
 </li>

 Initiation / responding to all planning / time related correspondence to consultant / subcontractors.

 Attend all Site coordination meetings.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Overview the inputs information on progress from/by site personnel, subcontractors, and suppliers.
 </li>

 Analysis &amp; Claims

 Prepare cost / time impact studies on variations to project to determine whether the claim is warranted in conjunction with the planning manager.

 Assist to Prepare the Extension of Time (EoT) claims and support forensic schedule analysis.
 </li>
 
 </ul>

 Risk Management &amp; Mitigation
 </li>
 
 </ol>
 
 <ul>

 Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Monitor the progress of the work against the contractual schedule, advise the Planning Manager on schedule slippage and prepare recovery plans.
 </li>
 
 </ul>

 Coordination &amp; Compliance
 </li>
 
 </ol>

 Liaise with the relevant site departments to expedite document processes (Submission, approval, orders etc.) to commence work activity and avoid slippage, all coordinated with the Planning Manager.

 <li>
 Ensure compliance with ACC Planning Department SOP.
 </li>

 Mentoring &amp; Team Support
 </li>
 
 </ol>
 
 <ul>
 
 <li>
 Mentor and review the work of junior and planning engineers.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Prepare and maintain production rates for equipment and labor for all trades.
 </li>
 
 </ul>
 
 
 
 Required Qualifications &amp; Competencies:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil engineering.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 10+ years of experience in planning roles on complex projects.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Solid knowledge of Project scheduling, Risk management, Data analysis
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Solid knowledge of Critical path method and Forensic schedule analysis
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Solid knowledge of claims, EOT analysis, and contractual terms.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Excellent communication and presentations skills.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Team collaboration and leadership skills.
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Proficiency in project management software, Primavera P6 and advanced Excel, (Power BI preferred).
 </li>
 
 <li>
 Proficiency in English language&nbsp;(writing and speaking)

 Cost Management &amp; Estimation
 
 
 
 &bull; Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets from drawings, specs, and BOQs.
 
 
 &bull; Build and maintain cost baselines; support value engineering proposals.
 
 
 &bull; Monitor expenditures against budgets and flag potential overruns early.
 
 
 
 Measurement &amp; Valuation
 
 
 
 &bull; Perform quantity take-offs and material measurements per standards (POMI/CESMM/NRM).
 
 
 &bull; Prepare interim and final valuations/payment certificates for contractors and suppliers.
 
 
 &bull; Assess variations/change orders, ensuring timely, accurate cost adjustments.
 
 
 
 Contracts, Claims &amp; Risk
 
 
 
 &bull; Support claims preparation with solid measurement records and correspondence.
 
 
 &bull; Apply contract conditions (e.g., FIDIC) and maintain compliance with policies.
 
 
 &bull; Identify commercial risks/opportunities and recommend mitigation actions.
 
 
 
 Collaboration &amp; Reporting
 
 
 
 &bull; Coordinate with Project Management, Planning, Procurement, and Site teams.
 
 
 &bull; Produce periodic cost reports, cash-flow forecasts, and variance analyses.
 
 
 &bull; Maintain organized documentation: BOQs, RFIs, variations logs, and backups.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 What You&rsquo;ll Bring to ACC
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Civil Engineering (or related).
 </li>
 <li>
 2&ndash;5 years as a Quantity Surveying Engineer within construction projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficiency in Excel (pivot/lookup); working knowledge of AutoCAD.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience with QS tools (CostX / PlanSwift / Candy CCS) is a strong plus.
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with FIDIC, measurement standards (POMI/CESMM/NRM), and basic ERP flows.
 </li>
 <li>
 High attention to detail, analytical mindset, and clear reporting skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Very good English (written and spoken).
 </li>
