As an Electrical and Power System Engineer, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of our next generation of satellites which will be even larger, more powerful, and more advanced than their predecessors. You will be part of a cross-functional team of talented engineers that owns the full development and operations cycle of the satellite electrical and power systems. The responsibilities of the team span a wide range of activities from requirements specification and architecture development up to post launch data reviews and anomaly investigations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Develop unit and subsystem level technical requirements specifications.</li>
<li>Drive unit and subsystem level trade studies, architecture definition, and interface specification.</li>
<li>Support unit level design activities by generating and reviewing drawings, schematics, layouts, and BOMs.</li>
<li>Perform unit and subsystem level analyses such as power integrity, worst-case circuit, derating, voltage drop, and grounding.</li>
<li>Lead unit and subsystem level acceptance and qualification testing by generating test plans, developing required EGSE, reviewing test results, generating test reports, and leading failure investigations.</li>
<li>Lead on-orbit data reviews and anomaly investigations.</li>
</ul>
Basic Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with strong academic performance.</li>
<li>1+ years of experience leading a team or technical project.</li>
<li>Familiarity with electrical power system components such as batteries, solar panels, harness, and power control and distribution units.</li>
<li>U.S Citizen or Permanent Resident.</li>
<li>Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal.</li>
<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.</li>
<li>Familiarity with satellite power systems and space mission requirements.</li>

Preferred Skills and Experience
<ul>
<li>3-7 years of experience in power systems design and development, with a focus on space or aerospace applications preferred.</li>

Position Overview

We are seeking a Spacecraft Mechanical Design DMU (Digital Mock-Up) &amp; Mass Properties Engineer to support both non-recurring and recurring/sustaining activities across spacecraft mechanical and structural subsystems and payloads. This includes responsibilities spanning systems engineering, mechanical design, analysis, assembly, and testing.The ideal candidate will be innovative, challenge traditional approaches, and excel in both collaborative environments and independent technical ownership. This role may also lead small teams and drive technical execution within the mechanical design domain.

Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Create and manage spacecraft CAD assemblies, including structural skeletons, subsystem interfaces, and flight hardware models.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a comprehensive mass properties database for all spacecraft and launch configurations; integrate CAD-generated mass properties to ensure accuracy.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain interface control drawings, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Material (BOMs).</li>
<li>Conduct mechanical and structural system trade studies to evaluate optimal system architecture considering simplicity, performance, mass, and cost.</li>
<li>Produce both preliminary and detailed design documentation.</li>
<li>Provide technical support to procurement, production, and testing teams for satellites and related hardware.</li>
</ul>
Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related technical field.</li>
<li>Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in spacecraft mechanical/structural design.</li>
<li>Demonstrated expertise in CAD large-assembly management and optimization.</li>
<li>Strong background designing satellite assemblies for both launch and on-orbit environments, including design for manufacturability.</li>

Summary

The Senior Mechanical Engineer supports satellite mechanical systems and payload development across systems engineering, mechanical design, structural analysis support, assembly, integration, and test activities. This role requires strong technical capability, creativity, and the willingness to challenge traditional approaches. The engineer will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, lead small groups as needed, and manage assignments with a high degree of autonomy to advance spacecraft mechanical architecture, performance, and manufacturability.

Duties &amp; Responsibilities

Position Overview

We are seeking a Structural Dynamics Analysis Engineer to join AST &amp; Science, a leading designer and manufacturer of satellites for low-Earth orbit (LEO). This role focuses on advanced structural dynamics analysis, including finite element modeling and dynamic case simulations using NASTRAN. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, creativity, and the ability to work independently on complex engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities
<ul>
<li>Lead complex dynamic analysis of space vehicles and subassemblies.</li>
<li>Develop and manage the design loads process.</li>
<li>Build finite element models from geometry and ensure best practices.</li>
<li>Perform Coupled Loads Analysis (CLA) model preparation and result assessment.</li>
<li>Provide recommendations on model size and runtime limits, including trade-offs.</li>
<li>Support design teams with timely analysis and technical insights.</li>
<li>Assist in environmental criteria development and support shock, acoustics, and vibration testing.</li>

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in mechanical/structural dynamics analysis of spacecraft.
