Manages full scope of work from preparation of proposal through construction. Duties include overseeing all technical aspects of site-development projects, reviewing all documents for quality control and quality assurance, and coordinating engineers and sub-consultants.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (may include but are not limited to):
Project Management:<ul><li>
Responsible for design and management of site-development engineering projects including ensuring completeness and accuracy of design effort.</li><li>
Responsible for the various design elements to complete a project, system, component, or system with other team members with clear and specified objectives involving conventional types of plans, surveys, investigations, structures, and/or equipment.</li><li>
Prepares complete project documentation to include plans, specifications, and engineer estimates including the collection, assembling, and organizing of project data.</li><li>
Evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to project assignments; formulates and solves problems.</li><li>
Works on multiple projects of moderate to large size using time efficiently to stay within budget and timely delivery.</li><li>
Develops proposals including bid documents, project reports, studies, and other documentation.</li><li>
Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments/projects.</li><li>
Coordinates technical and administrative activities with other internal departments and disciplines participating in the project.</li><li>
Ensures project engineering activities comply with firm and contract requirements and support overall project schedule, scope and budget.</li><li>
Interprets contract specifications and resolves conflicts with contractor on such matters as interpretation of specifications, workmanship, quality of materials, and related matters.</li><li>
Maintains list of project milestones and issues in-progress.</li><li>
Prepares monthly project status reports and change orders.</li><li>
Participates in client/contractor meetings, and resolves client, engineering and management project issues.</li><li>
Prepares project scopes, tasks, budgets, and schedules.</li></ul>
Business Development:<ul><li>
Assists in marketing and business development pursuits.</li><li>
Attends industry forums.</li><li>
Identifies potential clients.</li><li>
Interacts and collaborates with clients, officials, contractors, and other project team members.</li><li>
Prepares scope and fee proposals for review.</li></ul>
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS<ul><li>
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering field.</li><li>
7+ years' experience.</li><li>
Proficiency with AutoCAD.</li><li>
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.</li><li>
Proficiency with ICPR.</li><li>
Proficiency with EPANET, WaterCAD, StormCAD or similar software.</li><li>
Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, and MS Word.</li></ul>
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND SKILLS<ul><li>
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and clients.</li><li>
Ability to organize work, set priorities, meet critical deadlines, and follow-up on assignments with minimal supervision.</li><li>
Ability to maintain confidentially and protect privileged client information and documents appropriately.</li><li>
Knowledge of correct English usage including spelling, grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.</li></ul>
LICENSURE<ul><li>
Valid drivers' license and maintenance of satisfactory driving record.</li><li>
Florida Professional Engineer licensure with ability to obtain licensure in other states.</li></ul>
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
There are supervisory responsibilities associated with this position.
ENVIRONMENT
Work usually takes place in a clean, pleasant, and comfortable office setting. Site visits may occasionally take place in an outdoor environment. Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little or no advanced notice.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit for long periods of time. Responsible for design and management of airport Runway and Taxiway lighting systems, Approach Lighting, NAVAIDS, Weather Reporting Aids, High Mast Apron Lighting and/or Airfield Lighting Vault projects including ensuring completeness and accuracy of design effort.</li><li>

Electrical Engineering Project Manager, Airfield Lighting

<div>POSITION DESCRIPTION
As part of a design team, the Land Development Designer will be responsible for the preparation of construction drawings for projects, including but not limited to site plans, grading and drainage plans, roadway alignment, plan and profiles, cross sections, earthwork calculations, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection systems, storm sewer design, intersection layouts and utilization of applicable standard details based on municipality. Duties also include preparation of project specifications and assembling permit submittals (Water Management, FDEP, City, County, and State).
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (may include but are not limited to):<ul><li>
Support the engineering team with CAD knowledge.</li><li>
Develop CAD drawings for assigned department.</li><li>
Create plans independently and under direction from senior staff.</li><li>
Technical development of contract plans and marketing exhibits.</li><li>
Maintain project drawing files.</li><li>
Create maps, graphs, charts, overlays, base drawings, details and sketches.</li><li>
Complete red line mark-ups and address design comments related to the site layout and details.</li><li>
Organize and prepare a variety of complex layouts and drawings from written or verbal specifications or from rough or detailed sketches.</li><li>
Follow CAD standards for the project established by the client, firm, and industry.</li><li>
Recommend standards and symbols to meet specialized needs of a particular project, or to facilitate or improve CAD productivity.</li><li>
Maintain current knowledge of design and drafting procedures in specialty field.</li><li>
Use basic quantity and geometry calculations in creation of drawings.</li><li>
Perform mathematical calculations and quantity takeoffs.</li><li>
