Job Summary
The Surgical Technologist 2 works during surgery to speed up procedures, under a Registered Nurse's supervision. This position helps the surgical team by using equipment and tools to ensure a safe operating room and that equipment is available and working properly.
Essential Functions of the Role<ul><li>
Discuss any special needs with the surgeon before surgery. Scrub into surgery in time to prepare instruments before the surgeon scrubs in.</li><li>
Prepares the operative site by aseptically cleaning and patient clipping, as needed.</li><li>
Prepare and maintain the instrument table in an organized way. This avoids damage and incorrect instrument counts.</li><li>
Identify damaged or incomplete trays. Rectify discrepancies immediately or contact those who can help to avoid delays or injury.</li><li>
Sets up the operating room based on surgical procedure schedules. Arranges sterile setup of instrument table supplies and equipment for the specific procedure. Carefully selects and opens only needed supplies.</li><li>
Ensures the proper functioning of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies during surgical procedures.</li><li>
Performs surgical counts of sponges, sharps, instruments, and miscellaneous items, according to established policies and procedures.</li><li>

Job Summary</h4>
The Multimodality Technologist, supervised by a Radiologist, performs imaging in two or more disciplines. At least 25% of their work focuses on advanced areas like CT, MR, Nuc Med, or IR. They work with ambulatory and hospital patients as requested by a physician or licensed provider for diagnosing disease and injury, following established protocols.<h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
Essential Functions of the Role</h4><ul><li>
Performs high-quality multimodality procedures according to exam protocol promptly. Maintains production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards.</li><li>
Demonstrates an expertise of radiation dose reference levels and monitoring. Takes action if the estimated dose exceeds set levels. Takes action when the reference level is exceeded, which may include patient follow-up.</li><li>
Demonstrates and knows about proper use of iSTAT point of care testing for obtaining creatinine levels.</li><li>
Utilizes AIDET to communicate with patients. Identifies patient service needs and ensures the correct exam is performed on the correct patient. Establishes rapport with patients and others. Communicates clearly and calmly with patients and their families about the test. Assesses the patient's ability to tolerate the exam.</li><li>
Prepare the patient and area for the procedure. Position the patient, use immobilization devices, and move equipment into position. Use appropriate settings and exposure factors.</li><li>
Protects patients and employees by following safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies. Uses sterile techniques for invasive procedures and maintains hand hygiene.</li><li>
Maintains equipment and work area to meet quality and cleanliness standards. Works with engineers and physicists to ensure optimal equipment operation. Reports issues to management or the appropriate department. Assists in maintaining the supplies inventory. Ensures people are safe to enter the department by screening them according to approved policies and procedures.</li><li>
Obtains, verifies, and maintains all relevant documentation such as requisition/chart, patient history, pregnancy status, policies, and procedures, etc.</li><li>
Maintains medical imaging records in appropriate systems, according to department policies and procedures.</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">

Job Summary</h4>
The Clinical Research Coordinator 1 helps Principal Investigators (PI) with clinical trials. This includes all trial phases, from pre-study to closure, following federal, state, and Institutional guidelines. This position will learn to assist on complex studies and seek guidance from senior roles when needed. 
 
This location will be at the Dallas Diagnostics Associates of Plano (4716 Alliance Blvd, Suite 500, Plano, TX 75093)<h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
Essential Functions of the Role</h4><ul><li>
Implements various protocols for assigned research projects with appropriate departments. Interacts with PIs, clinical managers, and supervisors.</li><li>
Creates, facilitates, or executes various project workflows based on clinical trial protocol needs. Examples include providing in-service education for healthcare professionals and working with Pharmacy to ensure smooth project flow.</li><li>
Ensures appropriate billing mechanisms are in place for research charges. Requires familiarity with research study budgets. Provides feedback on budgets for new clinical trials.</li><li>
Performs research subject informed consent and entry into appropriate research studies ensuring that all inclusion and exclusion criteria are met.</li><li>
Partners and coordinates with regulatory compliance. Prepares Institutional Review Board (IRB) materials for protocol amendments. Submits Investigational New Drug (IND) Safety forms. Ensures all study documents are complete. Retains records per federal, state, and institutional standards.</li><li>
Obtains knowledge of departmental functions through reading literature, attending workshops, seminars and conferences and participating in professional organizations.</li><li>
Conducts and coordinates study-monitoring visits. Conducts audits and quality checks to ensure research studies are accurate, consistent, and have integrity.</li></ul><h4 class="jobSectionHeader">
