Job Summary:
Coordinates with retail management to train and develop partners. Works closely with front end partners to ensure training guidelines are being followed. Monitors and reports partner progress to management and makes recommendations regarding training opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Works in conjunction with upper management to train and develop partners.</li><li>
Conducts retail partner on-boarding and introduces new hires to Company policies, procedures, people, and culture.</li><li>
Collaborates with retail management to identify partners in need of training and to ensure all necessary training modules are completed. Remains current on Company policies, procedures, business initiatives, and technologies.</li><li>
Receives teaching materials from corporate and conducts training sessions covering a wide variety of areas such as on-the-job training, refresher training, etc.</li><li>
Reports progress of partners during training periods to management.</li><li>
Assists partners with problems concerning position specific tasks by providing suggestions to management to improve work procedures.</li><li>

Job Summary:

Job Summary:
Assists with buying decisions and managing day-to-day flow of assigned category (bakery/deli/market/produce/center store/etc.). Responsible for developing business while maintaining and building relationships with the supplier community and retail teams. Performs ongoing market analysis of competitive landscape, commodity trends, changes, and best practices. Supports category manager(s) to manage all aspects of assigned category including but not limited to sales, merchandising, item development, pricing, cost, sourcing, quality, marketing, and overall profitability.</div>
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Assists with managing day-to-day flow of assigned category by overseeing and making decisions regarding sales, pricing, sourcing, and quality.</li><li>
Serves as the subject matter expert in assigned category and assist retail stores with all category management aspects of that category.</li><li>
Negotiates supplier contracts to ensure product quality and price ranges are aligned with Company standards. Works with vendors to resolve pricing and billing discrepancies.</li><li>
Reviews reports to track and analyze stock in warehouse, evaluate item movement from stores, and monitor late purchase orders and out of stock product.</li><li>
Orders category merchandise according to price deals and forecasted replenishment quantities.</li><li>
Makes recommendations that have a significant impact regarding the purchase of new items and reviews other recommendations.</li><li>
Studies market analysis of consumer trends, competitive pressures, best practices, and changing demographics to develop pricing strategies. Collaborates with category manager(s) to establish product pricing for retail stores.</li><li>
Resolves disputes between vendors, government inspectors, and Company quality control standards.</li><li>
Investigates store or customer complaints about product quality and works with category management partners to resolve.</li><li>
Communicates with vendors to resolve product damage and quality issues.</li><li>
Remains active in the planning and logistics of distribution to ensure delivery timing and product freshness are aligned with Company product quality standards.</li><li>
Performs accurate data entry functions for category products across all Company store banners. Maintains ad libraries and ensures accuracy of product information in the system.</li><li>
Assists category management personnel with ad templates and processes database changes in SAP.</li><li>
Investigates and resolves questions from retail personnel related to ad pricing and scanning communication.</li><li>
Monitors and validates electronic data files submitted by category management personnel.</li><li>
Coordinates the preparation, development, and execution of advertising vehicles up to the point the information is provided to the marketing department.</li><li>
Communicates item-specific information, such as ad pricing and scanning information, to retail partners through various forms of communication.</li><li>
Provides accounting department with information to resolve billing discrepancies related to vendor payments.</li></ul>

Job Summary:
Maintains product levels and quality control in produce department. Ensures fresh fruits and vegetables are displayed in accordance with Company standards and all regulatory food safety practices. Promotes customer service and sales building practices.
