<p>
Assist Fleet Mechanic with the following:</p>
<ul><li>Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, pressure gauges, and precision instruments, as well as power tools such as pneumatic wrenches, lathes, hammers, welding equipment, and jacks and hoists.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Practices safe hoisting and jacking techniques. Practices safe use and disposal of solvents.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Using micrometers and gauges inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to examine parts for damage or excessive wear. Replaces part as needed.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Replaces defective engines or subassemblies, such as transmissions.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Adjust and reline brakes, align wheels, tighten bolts and screws, and reassemble equipment.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Raise trucks, buses, and heavy parts or equipment using hydraulic jacks or hoists.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Test drive trucks, buses and overhauled equipment to diagnose malfunctions and ensure operating efficiency.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Welds broken parts and structural members.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Attach test instruments to equipment, and read dials and gauges to diagnose malfunctions.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test instruments such as handheld computers, motor analyzers, chassis charts, and pressure gauges.</li></ul>

<div><p>SUMMARY Journeyman - Typically 3 years and above documented field experience in chosen craft discipline with ability to read and interpret instructions and document, plan and perform work activities independently.<br>
Lays out, fabricates, assembles, installs and maintains piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for steam, hot water fixtures and equipment for steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubricating, sprinkling and production and processing systems.</p>

Combination Welder (No Per Diem)

Reports to and receives assignments, instructions, and direction from the Foreman or General Foreman. Reads and interprets instructions and documentation and plans work activities. Operates company vehicles with capacity of up to 30 tons to move materials, tools, and equipment to and from work locations in support of construction and maintenance activities and/or deliver operating materials and supplies from one warehouse to another. Loads and unloads vehicles. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment. Performs other duties and activities as directed.
