The ideal candidate enjoys supporting others, keeps track of details, and takes pride in helping things run smoothly behind the scenes.Key Qualities We Value<ul><li>Highly detail-oriented &amp; organized</li><li>Curious, open-minded, &amp; willing to learn</li><li>Warm, welcoming, &amp; people-focused</li><li>Dependable, proactive, &amp; discreet</li><li>Comfortable working in a small, collaborative environment</li></ul>Responsibilities<ul><li>Serve as the welcoming presence of the church office, greeting visitors &amp; answering phone calls with professionalism and care.</li><li>Manage church communications, including emails, phone messages, weekly bulletins, weekly newsletters, &amp; general correspondence.</li><li>Maintain &amp; update church records, databases, &amp; membership information with accuracy &amp; confidentiality.</li><li>Support calendar management for worship services, meetings, &amp; church events.</li><li>Assist with event planning, scheduling, &amp; coordination of church activities.</li><li>Perform data entry, filing, proofreading, &amp; document preparation.</li><li>Utilize Google Workspace &amp; Microsoft Office for daily administrative tasks.</li><li>Assist the pastor with clerical &amp; administrative support as needed.</li><li>Maintain office organization, supplies, &amp; basic operational needs.</li></ul>Preferred Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li>Previous experience in an administrative, clerical, or office support role</li><li>Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite</li><li>Excellent attention to detail, typing, &amp; proofreading skills</li><li>Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette &amp; written communication</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks &amp; prioritize effectively</li></ul>Why This Role MattersThis position plays a vital role in supporting the ministry and mission of Bryson City UMC.
