<div>Job Summary:
<p>
Responsible for viewing and processing physician orders in the electronic medical record, transcribing physician orders when needed especially during downtime procedures, maintaining bed management records, accessing lab results on the computer, performing receptionist and clerical duties, and coordinating non-nursing services within the unit.</p>
Duties &amp; Responsibilities:
<p>
Initiate, assemble and maintain accurate, functional medical records for all patients in the assigned unit. Accurately view and process any physician orders in the electronic medical record. Accurately transcribe written physician orders when needed especially during downtime procedures and complete all necessary forms, requisitions and communications necessary to implement orders and record clinical data, as appropriate. Follows through to obtain missing information.</p><p>
Maintain a proper inventory supply of paper forms needed in order to provide continuous service, minimizing downtime and maintain a safe, clean and functional working environment in the nursing station and nursing area. Responsible for updates to all unit forms as well as managing their storage.</p><p>
Courteously, greet and assist visitors, screen telephone calls, and answer call buttons through nurse&rsquo;s station intercom or in person in the patient&rsquo;s room as applicable and direct to appropriate caregiver. Process mail and other correspondence. Make phone calls to relay patient information and schedule appointments as directed. Answer inquiries on procedures and policies relating to departmental functions.</p><p>
Prepare medical record upon discharge of patient.</p><p>
Copy medical records and obtain necessary discs for patient transfers/discharges to other facilities.</p><p>
Accurately maintain patient census management manually, as well as electronically.<br>
Assist with accessing or retrieving reports as requested.<br>
File documents following standard procedures; maintain medical records in a neat and orderly manner.</p><p>
Attend daily Interdisciplinary Discharge Rounds and keep the log of potential discharges for that day or the next day.</p><p>
Obtain the Advanced Directive List and Discharge Flag Report from the unit&rsquo;s printer for shift-to-shift safety huddles daily.</p><p>
Obtain the overdue lab specimen report from the unit&rsquo;s printer for distribution to the unit&rsquo;s RN and C N A staff daily.</p><p>
Hourly floating as necessary to fill in for open unit secretary areas throughout the inpatient units.</p><p>
Print lab slips as necessary especially during downtime procedures.</p><p>
Order; keep track; and file equipment (Wound VACs; specialty beds/mattresses) paperwork as applicable.</p><p>
Orient new staff members into the role of unit secretary to all the job responsibilities as indicated throughout the job description.</p><p>
Communicate pertinent patient care information and general information to the appropriate nursing staff.</p><p>
Performs all other related duties as assigned.</p>
Requirements:
<p>
High School diploma and a minimum of one year job-related experience or equivalent are required. Basic computer skills and medical terminology are also required.</p>

Unit Secretary, Float Pool

The Director of Clinical Informatics manages the clinical computer applications for Care New England in the inpatient setting. This position oversees the Clinical Informatics Team, Specialists and Analysts that support all inpatient applications. Serves as a liaison between OU leadership and the IS Department. Executes approved plans, provides budget management, responsible for compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Manages the implementation of systems; establishes technology standards and direction; oversees the implementation of system interfaces, enhancements and solutions. Works with customers to understand their business needs and analyze/apply the appropriate computer technology to meet those needs in conjunction with other IS staff. Responsible for Human Resource management and career development of assigned staff. Performs other job related duties as needed</p></div></div></div><br>

Coordinates the preparation and processes of computer systems to solve problems and achieve identified goals.</p><p>

Works with vendors to specify and acquire products and services.</p><p>
Manages Human Resources effectively.</p><p>
Maintains a 24 hour on-call support capability to support CNE operations.</p><p>
Supports development of annual budgets.</p><p>
Preserves and protects employee and patients&rsquo; rights to confidentiality.</p><p>
Performs other job-related duties as assigned or directed.</p><br>

Requirements:
<p>
Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems and/or RN, or related field with minimum six years experience in application development/support and at least two years in management, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.</p><p>
Knowledge of systems development methodology, programming, analysis and troubleshooting is required.</p><p>
Experience in healthcare environment and experience with EPIC highly desirable.</p><br>

Director of Clinical Informatics

<div><p>The Pharmacy Technician Courier is responsible for the safe and timely transport of hazardous and non-hazardous medications from the Kent Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy to the Oncology office in Cranston, RI. This position performs scheduled round-trip deliveries, ensuring medications are delivered securely and directly to Nursing staff and ADS in accordance with hospital policies, state regulations, and safety standards.</p>
<p>When not performing deliveries, the technician assists the Inventory Coordinator with pharmacy inventory management and may be assigned general pharmacy technician duties as needed.</p>
<p><b>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul><li>Perform scheduled round-trip deliveries between Kent Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy and the Oncology office in Cranston, RI.</li>
<li>Safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous medications in compliance with USP, OSHA, and hospital handling procedures.</li>
<li>Deliver medications directly to Nursing staff and ADS personnel while maintaining chain of custody and delivery accuracy.</li>
<li>Maintain delivery logs and documentation as required.</li>
<li>Ensure medications are transported in appropriate containers and temperature-controlled conditions when necessary.</li>
<li>Assist the Inventory Coordinator with:
<ul><li>Stocking medications and supplies</li>
<li>Inventory counts and restocking</li>
<li>Expiration date monitoring</li>
<li>Organization of pharmacy inventory areas</li>
</ul></li><li>Perform all other pharmacy technician duties as assigned, including medication preparation, packaging, labeling, and other operational support tasks within scope of practice.</li>
<li>Follow all hospital, pharmacy, and safety policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Maintain professional communication with pharmacy staff, nursing staff, and clinic personnel.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
<ul><li>Current Rhode Island Pharmacy Technician I license required.</li>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li>
<li>Reliable personal vehicle required for daily deliveries.</li>
<li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and acceptable driving record required.</li>
<li>Ability to safely handle hazardous medications following established protocols.</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules efficiently.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of pharmacy operations preferred.</li>
<li>Previous hospital or oncology pharmacy experience preferred.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Physical Requirements</b></p>
<ul><li>Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds.</li>
<li>Ability to drive regularly between locations.</li>
<li>Ability to transport medication bins, totes, and supplies safely.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Work Environment</b></p>
<p>This position works in both hospital pharmacy and outpatient oncology settings and involves handling hazardous and non-hazardous medications. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and training will be provided in accordance with regulatory standards.</p>
