The Providence Center Residential Case Manager - Eaton Street - Per Diem will provide clinical case management and psycho-social rehab services in order to facilitate program goals and objectives using a quality care approach. Identify client needs with a person-centered approach to address not only mental health symptoms but co-occurring disorders. Working with consumers to achieve the highest level of independence possible.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide case management and support to consumers.
 
<ul><li>Treat consumers with respect.</li><li>Provide support counseling, problem solving, contracts and limit setting.</li><li>Establish attainable goals with the consumer.</li><li>Involve consumer, agencies and others in treatment planning.</li></ul></div>
<ul><li>Collaborate with clinical team on engagement insight and needed supports.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide support counseling with mental health issues, substance use disorders, and medical conditions.</li><li>Assist consumer in deciding which areas they want to address.</li><li>Assist and monitor the group home consumers with medical interventions and hygiene needs.</li><li>Encourage consumers to attain the highest possible levels of independence.</li><li>Accept the values and lifestyles of consumers.</li><li>Use a flexible approach with a diverse population.</li></ul>
 
Make assessments and provide appropriate crisis interventions and risk management as needed to maintain a calm and safe environment.
 
<ul><li>Assess consumers' unmet needs (psychological, physical, housing, substance use, and psychiatric).</li><li>Identify, assess and respond to crisis situations.</li></ul>
 
Teach consumers adult daily living skills assisting them in all aspects of their life in the group home and supervised apartments.
 
<ul><li>Teach, supervise and assist consumers with doing household chores (morning and evening, laundry, room cleaning, etc.) using realistic situations.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Teach clients coping skills to implement symptoms management and harm reduction.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide direct alcohol and drug counseling/case management to individuals with substance use disorders.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Perform household duties as needed.</li><li>Use a step-by-step process when teaching skills.</li><li>Use positive reinforcement and encouragement.</li><li>Integrate skills training in all aspects of their treatment plan.</li><li>Maintain a clean, healthy and safe environment at all times.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Adhere to Infection Control protocols.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Implement emergency protocols when required.</li></ul> 
 
Initiate treatment and advocate for consumer within network of care.
 
<ul><li>Negotiate and schedule appointments for consumers within The Center and with outside agencies (Social Security Supplemental Insurance (S.S.I.), Food Stamps, Advocates Office, Medical Doctor, etc.).</li></ul>
<ul><li>Negotiate on behalf of the consumer, as needed, with landlords, courts, families, treatment team, consumers themselves.</li></ul>
 
Assist in the development and implementation of socialization and recreational activities within the group home, in the community, and by attending Day Program groups and activities.
 
<ul><li>Develop professional relationship with Day Program staff.</li><li>Provide and maintain a home atmosphere.</li><li>Maintain and promote family contacts and relationships.</li></ul>
 
Transport consumers in own vehicle or Center van to planned activities and appointments.
 
<ul><li>Drive carefully and abide by traffic rules.</li><li>Ensure that seat belts are worn by all traveling in Center or owned vehicles.</li></ul>
 
Complete recordkeeping in accordance with Health Information Services (HIS) and other Center requirements and abide by Center confidentiality policy.
<ul><li>Complete required interagency and other necessary paperwork.</li><li>Complete shift activity logs.</li><li>Complete all required documentation with appropriate format.</li><li>Complete a clear, specific, behaviorally oriented treatment plan as required, with consumer involvement and signature.</li><li>Monitor confidentiality in accordance with Center policy and legal requirements.</li><li>Complete required reports and evaluations (ADL/DLA Assessments and Psycho-Social Functional Assessments).</li><li>Follow required office procedures in a cooperative manner.</li><li>Initiate and process incident reports as per Center guidelines.</li></ul>
 
Maintain cooperative relationships with Center staff, consumers, community agencies and the public.
 
<ul><li>Communicate with various local agencies and other departments or teams at The Center.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Provide appropriate referrals and supports to identify and target co-occurring needs.</li><li>Deal with team members regarding problems in a constructive manner.</li><li>Accept and use direction and supervision.</li><li>Benefit from constructive criticism.</li></ul>
 
Attend trainings, case presentations and conferences as required. 
<div>OCCASIONAL DUTIES:
 
<ul><li>Serve on appropriate Center committees.</li><li>Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and during inclement weather.</li></ul> 
</div>Requirements:
High School Diploma/GED and/or at least 5 years of experience in a behavioral health setting.
Experience in residential facilities helpful.
Must have valid driver's license and insured auto.
Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as well as cover the program when unforeseen circumstances arise to ensure 24-hour coverage.

Job Qualifications and Specifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program and a minimum of three years job-related experience or equivalent is required. RI State Licensure is also required. BLS required.

Registered Nurse, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Operating Room

<div>The RN Care Manager (RN CM) utilizes advanced nursing skills and knowledge of resource management and fiscal responsibility to coordinate the clinical care for a designated patient population across the continuum of care. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to, clinical effectiveness, discharge planning, care coordination, and clinical resource management. The RN CM interacts with Medical, Nursing, and Ancillary department staff to facilitate quality-based, cost effective patient outcomes and ensure care is provided in the most appropriate setting.
Specifications: Must have and maintain license as Registered Nurse in Rhode Island. Minimum of 3 to 5 years related clinical and/or Case Management experience required. As of 1/1/16, Certification in Case Management (CCM or ACM) earned within 24 months of employment, prorated for part-time staff. Ability to effectively communicate with and gain cooperation of resident and attending physicians with regards to 
documentation needs and to effectively influence all members of the interdisciplinary care team during 
difficult cases to achieve appropriate resolutions. Must have effective written communication. The ability 
to interpret medical data as documented. Utilization of level of care management, quality management, 
discharge planning, basic knowledge of third party payer or case management knowledge preferred. 
Knowledge and training in multiple computer systems required to perform position responsibilities (i.e. 
EMR, Microsoft Office, etc.) Participation in weekend and holiday coverage rotation. Flexibility to cover 
as needed

Job Summary: The Supervisor is primarily responsible for managing the hospital while serving as an administrative/clinical resource for all Nursing personnel. The position has the authority, responsibility and accountability for the administration of the entire hospital during evening and morning shifts, weekends and holidays. The incumbent is responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of all nursing activities according to hospital policies and procedures.

Nursing Supervisor

<div>The Environmental Services Technician cleans and services an assigned area of the Hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition. Adheres to Butler Hospital Service Standards.
Union, full time 40 hours a week 7:30am-4pm, every other weekend and every other holiday.
I. Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Maintains a cleaning cart in an orderly condition, keeping the cart fully stocked with required cleaning supplies.</li>
<li>Responsible for removal of all waste including regular rubbish, cardboard, recycle confidential paper, hazardous material.</li>
<li>Follow proper procedures concerning hazardous waste disposal and handling.</li>
<li>Cleaning and disinfecting of restrooms completely.</li>
<li>Replenishes all supplies: soap, toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and paper towels.</li>
<li>Daily disinfecting of (all assigned areas) offices, corridors, elevators, stairwells, patient rooms and cleaning/making beds that are vacant due to patient discharge or transfer.</li>
<li>Performs project work such as wall washing, window washing, curtain changing with use of ladder, cleaning of waste containers, floor buffing, refinishing floors, floor scrubbing, carpet cleaning.</li>
<li>Operation of heavy-duty electrical equipment: wet vacuums, extractors, buffers, floor machines, auto scrubbers, upholstery machines, pressure washers, vacuums, steamers</li>
<li>Sweeps, mops, wet-washes, and vacuums floors.</li>
<li>Moves furniture and completes conference room setups.</li>
<li>Collects soiled linens and transports to laundry; returns clean linen to proper linen closets.</li>
<li>Turns and changes mattresses and completes bed moves</li>
<li>Disinfects areas by scrubbing or wiping.</li>
<li>Completes assigned work orders.</li>
<li>Operates hospital dump truck to move supplies, furniture, or transport waste to the compactors.</li>
<li>Reports any mechanical failures and negative conditions.</li>
<li>Provide Training to new or current employees when needed.</li>
</ul>
Performs other duties as required.
Demonstrates competence and compassion in day-to-day interactions with patients, family members, or friends that may be present, either as patients or visitors at Butler Hospital.

<div>The Department of OB-GYN at Women and Infants Hospital in Rhode Island and the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University is searching for a Division Director of Midwifery. The Director of the Division of Midwifery will be responsible for assuring high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based patient care and medical education by our Midwifery staff at our in-patient and out-patient sites.
