 About the Role:
 
 
 
 CBRE GWS is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Regional Lead Facilities Engineer (Middle East and &amp; North Africa) to join the team.
 
 
 The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical oversight and operational support to the Regional Engineering Manager and Technical Manager in the delivery of critical engineering services to the Citi regional satellite data centers and Tech rooms.
 
 
 This position will act as technical interface between client engineering, client critical infrastructure projects and CBRE engineering teams for complex activities and will ensure best in class standard of engineering delivery to the client across critical assets and operations.
 
 
 The role will require completion of specified planned critical and statutory works which are deemed to require technical manager support.
 
 
 The role will be required to support abnormal operating conditions in critical space and ensure mitigation measures are identified and actioned to avoid any impact on client business operations.
 
 The role requires a strong regional technical and statutory competence and drive to comply with all Health and Safety policies and standards.
 
 
 The Position will also provide subject matter expertise and engineering lead support to for the delivery and operation of critical data centers plus other critical facilities regionally.

 What You will Do:
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Critical Facilities Operations:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Manage overall service delivery in Strategic and Satellite data canters and other Critical Facilities, provide support in the management of other critical systems located in facilities throughout the region.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in the development of and regionally maintain corporate standards for maintenance of critical equipment and operation of facilities
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain an inventory of critical components for use in sharing best practices, expediting repairs through leveraged parts positioning
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct regular reviews of existing operations to ensure maintenance and operating standards and environments are adequate for each facility
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify common failure scenarios based upon installed base of similar components and configurations of equipment, focused to pre-empt outages with similar precedents across Citi and industry
 </li>
 <li>
 Review all new capital and renovation projects within the region with respect to operational requirements
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate operations of Critical Facilities and systems within the region with FM and Sustainability teams to identify opportunities and incorporate best practices
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in the development of an inventory of critical components for use in sharing best practices; expedite repairs through leveraged parts positioning
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct regular reviews of existing operations to ensure maintenance, operating standards, and environments are adequate for each facility.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify common failure scenarios based upon an installed base of similar components and configurations of equipment, focused to pre-empt outages with similar precedents across region and the industry.

 </ul>
 
 Change Management
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Oversee use of change control procedure for critical systems invasive maintenance and changes to ensure proper business level and CRS - CTI coordination is met, coordinate with other non-facilities changes and events in critical environments
 </li>
 <li>
 Review change management policy utilization across the regional facilities management teams and ensure strict adherence to policy
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage regional escalation and approval method for emergency changes and events
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as the region's top-level CBRE CRS approver class in existing change management applications
 </li>
 <li>
 Review change management schedules across facilities to ensure that production/cob paired facilities do not have coinciding work schedules
 </li>
 <li>
 Work with the global team to develop metrics on maintenance durations and outages to review comparable operations and ensure windows are adequately scheduled.
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as advocate on behalf of regional site managers in scheduling required maintenance and repairs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist in the ongoing development of regional change control procedure for critical systems invasive maintenance and changes to ensure proper business level and Citi Technology Infrastructure (CTI) coordination is met.
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as an advocate on behalf of site managers in scheduling required maintenance and repairs.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Strategy and Planning
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Act as CBRE - CRS owner for the planning, development, and execution of critical facilities strategies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain as-built documentation and load conditions up to date for critical systems based upon operations inventory and data
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop critical sites space, power, and cooling capacity plan and strategy in coordination with MEA and regional TI teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify future risks and shortages in capacity in time to develop coordinated plans for hardware placement and potential expansion
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with Citi Critical Facilities team &amp; GDCS team to identify and measure consolidation opportunities
 </li>
 <li>
 Act as advocate for hardware consolidation, providing proper metrics to facilitate the business case in terms of facility capital expenditure avoidance and other energy/operational savings
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify need and initiate critical systems capital projects where required due to space/power constraints or the condition of existing equipment and environments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage right-sizing of infrastructure and right placement of facilities/hardware to ensure just-in-time capacity is available without adding risk of delays to business/CTI projects
 </li>
 <li>
 Attend TI and business hardware planning meetings to ensure CRS preparedness for upcoming projects
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain industry awareness of future hardware trends and their potential impact on facilities
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify future risks and shortages in capacity in time to develop coordinated plans for hardware placement and potential expansion.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Outage Reporting / Incident Response
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Take responsibility for CRS incident escalation and coordinate all cross-business/function communications regionally
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in technical response team to provide 24/7 remote support of all complex situations and outages
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage CBRE - CRS executive level communication with respect to incidents and events for the region
 </li>
 <li>
 Develop and manage the regional process for preliminary, ongoing, and final incident reports, postmortems, CAP plans, and audit grade documentation
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify root cause and share failure analysis across teams to ensure similar conditions are proactively addressed
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate/lead technical response team to provide 24/7 remote support of all complex situations and outages.
 </li>
 <li>
 Travel to outage location where necessary to provide post-mortem technical analysis and support of the corrective action plan development.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with regional teams on executive-level, business and ARR related communications with respect to outages and incidents.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and provide assistance in developing preliminary, ongoing, and final incident reports, postmortems, CAP plans, and audit grade documentation.
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify root cause and share failure analysis across teams to ensure similar conditions are proactively addressed.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Governance (Audit and Risk Control)
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Cross-reference inventory of equipment against manufacturers' notices and industry alerts, and internal incidents for at-risk hardware and systems architecture
 </li>
 <li>
 Take ownership stake for the open critical systems environments audit issues, resolve through coordination with regional staff and critical systems operations, incident, and D&amp;C teams.
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilize CBRE global policies and documentation in responding to internal and external audits of critical systems environments, participate in the audit process
 </li>
 <li>
 Review business and TI infrastructure risk assessments to ensure proper facilities installations and operating standards are in place to meet requirements
 </li>
 <li>
 Review existing policies, standards, and procedures for D&amp;C, operations, change management, and incident response to ensure effectiveness and adequacy
 </li>
 <li>
 Identify risks associated with inventory of equipment against manufacturers' notices and industry alerts, and internal incidents for at-risk hardware and systems architecture

Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in matters related to the existing site(s) technical engineering infrastructure providing data for CS and the Project Design Teams in all matters relating to existing asset/system connectivity, location, designed and installed capacity, operational restrictions, as fitted data.

 A minimum of 5 years of relevant, diverse professional experience managing engineering and operational management of mission critical facilities within a financial services or large corporate environment.

 Preferably Electrical engineer with experience of both electrical and mechanical systems, A degree or equivalent in Electrical, Mechanical Building Services or associated engineering discipline is must.
 </li>

 Clear technical understanding of Critical Facilities operations and excellence.

 Experience in management of internal and external technical resources.
