Job Duties:

Routine duties shall include providing health care services to individuals eligible for services in accordance with the self-governance compact and funding agreement between the Cherokee Nation and United States executed under the authority of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act. Screens the patients by obtaining preliminary history; obtaining vital signs and making an assessment of the patient's condition recognizing the range of normal and abnormal findings and acting accordingly. Triages patients without an appointment and directs them appropriately. Administers medications, immunizations, and treatments according to CN policy, standing orders, guidelines and/or provider's orders. Operates a variety of medical equipment according to policy. Documents observations, assessment, referrals and nursing interventions according to CN documentation standards. Performs exams, orders test, and interprets results and acts accordingly. Assists the provider with diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures. Participates in ongoing quality improvement activities using the Model for Improvement. Participates and part of the care team. Other duties may be assigned.</div><div></div><div><b><br>

Inpatient Nurse Educator-OB

This position is accountable for ensuring effective maintenance and operation of HVAC/Refrigeration, pumps, pneumatic and electrical controls, ductwork, and related equipment. Promotes and participates in team problem-solving approach with coworkers and other Engineering staff. Assists co-workers in resolving technical, scheduling, and customer satisfaction issues. Provides technical support to other departments in matters about HVAC systems and the review for new additions or modifications to building HVAC systems.</div>
Job Duties:
<p>
Operates, inspects, and maintains all HVAC and refrigeration equipment and systems to obtain efficient operating results and maximize equipment life expectance. Performs preventive maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and service requests. Strong focus on operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment on all HVAC/R systems. Apply the fundamentals of temperature and humidity measurement and control in air conditioning units. Maintain equipment to simultaneously control space temperature, humidity, cleanliness, and distribution. Use the psychometric chart to determine the results of mixing air having various properties. Analyze, plan, and perform preventive maintenance of the HVAC system. Assist in managing the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Systems to be maintained include but are not limited to air-cooled, water-cooled, hot water systems, chilled water systems, VAV systems, steam heating systems, and building automation control systems. Ensuring each component is functioning properly as well as the system as a whole. Charge refrigeration and air conditioning equipment as required. Perform brazing, soldering, and similar procedures as required. Detect faulty operation of equipment and perform necessary adjustments and repairs. Refer unusual cases or problems to the coordinator or manager. Use diagnostic test equipment such as multimeters, Amprobe, air, and water flow measuring devices. Read electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints. Monitor and maintain necessary levels of parts and supplies related to heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, procurement utilizing available vendors following Cherokee Nation Health Services purchasing procedures. Respond at any time to an emergency repair situation of HVAC equipment and/or fire, flood, and power failure. To maintain a functionally safe environment for all patients, staff, and visitors including emergency calls after the normal work shift. Participate in on-call rotation. Put the Cherokee Nation Outpatient Health Center (CNOHC) interests at a high priority. Fill shifts where needed and stays late if necessary. Diagnoses and corrects problems in the refrigeration circuit, uses manifold gauge set, pressure/temperature chart, and temperature measuring devices for routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Diagnoses problems in the heating system using a gas pressure test and other devices for routine maintenance and to troubleshoot and repair. Manage relationships with all major vendor accounts. This position is responsible for all HVAC systems and components, i.e., exhaust fans; blood bank equipment; refrigerators, freezers, and ice machines; chillers, water tower treatment, and automated climate controls. Performs emergency, routine, and preventative maintenance in HVAC/R. This position manages the installation and performs preventative maintenance, service repairs, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. Health Services Journeyman HVAC I or II - Claremore

Carries out prescribed fire plans, fire effects, manual and mechanical hazardous fuels treatments, and smoke and Wildland fire use monitoring. Conducts field surveys to determine the location of hazardous fuel conditions.</p>
Job Duties:
<p>
Coordinates daily with Lead Fire/Fuels Technician and Fire Program Coordinator to determine daily tasks and objectives. Assists with project assessments which determine the presence or absence of hazardous Wildland fuels. Information and field conditions and predictions of fire behavior are collected through a variety of methods, including field surveys, computer modeling and specific academic research papers and professional literature sources. All results are reported to the Lead Fire/Fuels Technician who will report them to the relevant parties. Reviews project plans and makes recommendations on appropriate levels of monitoring. Establishes study plots to assess fire and fire suppression impacts on the ecosystem. Develops and refines plot characteristics, frequency of visits, subjects to be measured and data storage and analysis. Serves on prescribed fire and fuels projects, in positions for which qualified. Technically administers and carries out all assigned aspects of the prescribed fire/fuels plan, ensuring the preparation, ignition, holding, mop-up, and rehabilitation are competed to standards specified. Conducts field reconnaissance of prescribed fire/fuels treatment units, summarizes field findings and makes recommendations on appropriate criteria for meeting program objective. Participates in Wildland fire and safety training in the techniques, practices, and methods of fire suppression activities, with emphasis on those used for the particular function assigned. Participates in preparedness reviews, proficiency checks and drills, safety sessions, and after action reviews (AAR). Ensures own and other's welfare and safety in all aspects of the assignment. Fire Fuels Technician

<div>Job Summary:
<div>
Conducts a variety of laboratory tests and duties according to established laboratory procedure, and in compliance with Cherokee Nation Policies and Procedures, Rural Health Guidelines and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988 (CLIA '88), and Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation (COLA) regulations, while working under the supervision of a Laboratory Supervisor and/or Laboratory Director.</div>
Job Duties:

Routine duties shall include providing health care services to individuals eligible for services in accordance with the self-governance compact and funding agreement between the Cherokee Nation and United States executed under the authority of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act. Practices only within the boundaries of competence, based on documented education, training, supervised experience, state and national professional credentials, and appropriate professional experience. Provides health services of a scope, quality, and quantity consistent with Cherokee Nation policies. Collects laboratory specimens such as urine, blood, etc., and ensures these specimens are collected at the proper time and patients have received proper instructions and/or preparation. Determines adequacy, identification and appropriateness of specimens according to test procedures and the laboratory's specimen acceptance/rejection criteria. Performs specimen testing and prepares specimens appropriately according to test procedure being performed. Maintains integrity of specimens. Performs and documents quality control. Resolves technical problems and takes remedial actions whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications. Ensures that patient's results are not reported until all corrective action has been taken and the test system is functioning properly. Calculates and arranges quality control data in a meaningful and concise manner. Operates and maintains laboratory instruments according to established protocols. Performs routine maintenance, calibration, and standardization on all instruments within an established time frame. Keeps accurate and up-to-date records of such performance and quality control checks. Recognizes any malfunction of instruments and takes immediate corrective action to restore proper operation of the instruments. Notifies clinicians when test results will be delayed. Follows all safety policies and procedures including but not limited to general safety, hazardous communication, Chemical Hygiene Plan and Blood Borne Pathogens. Adheres to professional ethical standards. Maintains verifiable records at an institution or facility that has a published records retention policy that is equal to or exceeds the retention required by federal, tribal and/or state regulations. Maintains the confidentiality of any information received from any person or source about a client/patient, unless authorized in writing by the client/patient or required by law or court order. Complies with the applicable state and federal regulations in regard to the security, safety and confidentiality of any health services record created, maintained, transferred, or destroyed, whether the record is written, taped, computerized, or stored in any other medium. Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT:</b></div><div>
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and less than one year of specialized training or education related to Medical Laboratory Asstance School or Medical Laboratory CME.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT</b></div><div>
Three years experience in a related field performing moderate or high complexity testing in a Medical Laboratory.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
COMPUTER SKILLS</b></div><div>
An individual should have knowledge of Database software.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS</b><b>
</b></div><div>Must have a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must be a Registered Certified Laboratory Assistant, Medical Laboratory Assistant, or Phlebotomist Technician with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or American Medical Technologist or equivalent and maintain throughout employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within ninety (90) days of hire and maintained throughout employment.</div><div></div><div><b><br>
