<div>Christie Clinic's department of Family Medicine in Mahomet is seeking a full-time LPN or RN from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements.
Duties include the provision of professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)<ul><li>
Administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with nursing standards and as directed by provider.
</li><li>Prepare equipment and aid provider during treatment, examination and/or testing of the patient.
</li><li>Observe, record and report patient&rsquo;s condition and reaction to medication and/or treatment to provider.
</li><li>Arrange for patient testing and admission.</li><li>
Act as a liaison between the patient and provider regarding complaints, concerns, etc.</li><li>
Instruct patient and family regarding medication, treatment instructions and patient education.</li><li>
Demonstrate the ability to respond to triage calls using nursing assessment to ensure patients with emergency situations are given priority, and documenting appropriately.</li><li>
Attend and participate in departmental huddles.</li><li>
Obtain work list from provider and follow up on labs, tests, reports, etc.</li><li>
Administer injections.</li><li>
Send prescription refills.</li><li>
Obtain prior authorizations for medications, testing, procedures, etc.</li><li>
Administer IV therapy and push IV medications</li><li>
Post tests and examination results to portal as directed by provider.</li><li>
Perform related work as required.</li></ul>
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
<ul><li>Graduation from an accredited school of nursing</li><li>
Evidence of annual completion of health related courses and/or seminars with a certificate and/or CEU&rsquo;s</li></ul>
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>
Professional nursing experience
</li></ul>CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
<ul><li>Possession of an Illinois State RN or LPN License</li><li>
CPR Certification</li></ul>
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching and lifting up to 75 pounds. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is performed in a clinical setting with possible exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, hazardous waste, bodily fluids and other waste common to a health care environment. Requirements may include working irregular hours.
