 Description
 
 
 
 Under limited supervision, the Community Learning Coordinator plans, implements, and evaluates programs, events, and other learning opportunities for all ages, abilities and content areas, inside the building, virtually, and in an outreach capacity. Responsible for planning, coordinating, and evaluating Community Learning projects and ensures that all services are in alignment with the library's strategic goals and are implemented effectively. Responsible for supervising, training, and evaluating a specialized content area, (e.g., outdoor learning, environmental and nature-based education, multi-generational programs, makerspace experiences, and/or other emerging library services), establishing standards for programming and other learning opportunities, researching and formulating long range goals, developing guidelines and procedures, and planning, services and goals. Reports to Community Learning leadership. The employee is eligible to work up to 29 hours per week.

 This position is responsible for completing required training to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of a Firefighter.
 
 This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Barrow County Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace.
 
 
 
 
 MAJOR DUTIES

 Participates in training to obtain the necessary skills, knowledge, and certification to advance to the Firefighter level within the Emergency Services department.
 </li>
 <li>
 Completes classroom work; completes required quizzes and tests at a satisfactory level.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participates in daily physical fitness and agility activities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participates in live burns, forcible entries, hazardous materials responses, and other training exercises.
 </li>
 <li>
 Performs general housekeeping and grounds and maintenance work associated with the maintenance of the training center and the administrative facilities.
