Cocoon House&rsquo;s Snohomish Young Adult Housing (SYAH) program will assist program participants by offering five units of transitional housing as an immediate solution for young adults experiencing homelessness. While in transitional housing, program participants will receive &ldquo;Rapid Rehousing&rdquo; assistance, receiving support and financial assistance to find their own, independent housing. Throughout the program, program staff and participants will work together on short- and long-term employment and education goals.
The Rapid Rehousing Program Manager, internally referred to as the SYAH Program Manager will oversee all elements of the above programming: the transitional housing program, Rapid Rehousing services, and education and employment assistance. This position will consist of managing budget and staffing for the SYAH program, supporting case management staff and developing and refining transitional housing and rapid rehousing procedures. The SYAH Program Manager will also work to ensure that the SYAH program works in concert with other Cocoon House programs, providing a continuum of services that contribute to Cocoon House&rsquo;s mission of breaking the cycle of homelessness.

Snohomish Young Adult Housing (SYAH) Case Manager Duties &amp; Responsibilities
Full-Time (Monday-Friday)| On-site in Everett, Snohomish County
Starting Wages: $25-28/hr depending on shift | +$1.50/hr pay differential for multi-lingual skills with additional paperwork<ul><li>
Weekly check-ins with program staff for supervision and team meeting.</li><li>
Establish and maintain norms in transitional housing location, accounting for safety, accessibility and participant voice</li><li>
Ensure compliance with Youth Homelessness Demonstration grant requirements-</li><li>
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all program data and paperwork</li><li>
Attend, and occasionally help to facilitate, all agency trainings and meetings, with a focus on increasing and improving collaboration between staff from different programs and streamlining Cocoon House services</li><li>
Provide direct service support, as needed, to program participants, including assistance with finding and moving into housing, finding and maintaining employment, increasing income levels, budgeting, processing payments to landlords, and any other support needed to help program participants find and maintain stable housing.</li><li>
Maintain and continue to build community partnerships with landlord and service providers that promotes wrap around services.</li><li>
Advocate for continued program development that is driven by youth voice, equitable outcomes, and data.</li><li>

Requirements:

General:<ul><li>
1-year minimum experience, 2 years preferred, managing human services programs</li><li>
1-year minimum experience, 2 years preferred, working with youth or young adults experiencing homelessness</li><li>
Familiarity with the Housing First model and a willingness to implement such a model</li><li>
A commitment to and familiarity with harm reduction and trauma-informed care</li><li>
Strong organizational and time management skills</li><li>
Dedication to advocating for and working with individuals experiencing homelessness and instability.</li><li>
Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet client needs, including working the occasional weekend or evening</li><li>
Open commitment to serving, supporting, accepting and collaborating with individuals of all races, ages, genders, backgrounds, political opinions and beliefs, sexual orientations, criminal histories, citizenship or marital statuses and religious beliefs.</li><li>

Must be 21 years of age or older</li><li>
DCYF background clearance</li><li>
Acceptable driver's abstract with no more than 2 violations within last 3 years</li><li>
Possess a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation</li></ul>
Physical:<ul><li>
Ability to effectively communicate with all internal and external clients</li><li>
Be able to hear voices and alarms.</li><li>
Ability to read and comprehend a variety of materials</li><li>
Ability to operate phone, computer, and record information for files and logs</li><li>
Must be able to lift up to 50 Ibs</li><li>
Must have ability to run up and down indoor and outdoor stairwells in case of youth emergency.</li><li>
