Job Overview
The Dental Patient Service Representative is the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience. This position is responsible for scheduling, insurance verification, financial communication, and front office support to ensure smooth daily operations and strong office production.
Requirements:

Key Responsibilities
Patient Experience<ul><li>
Greet and check in patients in a friendly, professional manner</li><li>
Answer phones promptly and schedule appointments efficiently</li><li>
Confirm upcoming appointments and manage the daily schedule to minimize gaps</li><li>
Provide clear communication regarding treatment, policies, and next steps</li></ul>
Insurance &amp; Financial Coordination<ul><li>
Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility</li><li>
Explain coverage, co-pays, and estimated out-of-pocket costs to patients</li><li>
Collect payments at time of service and post transactions accurately</li><li>
Assist patients with payment options and financing when needed</li></ul>
Scheduling &amp; Production Support<ul><li>
Maintain a productive, goal-oriented schedule</li><li>
Fill cancellations and openings to support daily production goals</li><li>
Coordinate with clinical team to ensure smooth patient flow</li></ul>
Administrative Duties<ul><li>
Enter and update patient information accurately in practice management software</li><li>
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence</li><li>
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>
Support office metrics related to production, collections, and patient retention</li></ul>
Qualifications<ul><li>
Previous dental or medical front office experience preferred</li><li>
Knowledge of dental insurance plans (PPO, HMO, Denti-Cal/Medicaid a plus)</li><li>
Strong customer service and communication skills</li><li>
Comfortable discussing financial information with patients</li><li>
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills</li><li>
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment</li><li>
Experience with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) preferred</li></ul>

Registered Dental Assistant Job Overview
The Registered Dental Assistant performs a variety of dental assisting duties while promoting a safe and clean environment for providing quality dental care. These duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the doctors; communicating effectively with patients (or parents if the patient is a child); maintaining equipment and inventory; and following universal precautions, OSHA requirements, and dental board auxiliaries' regulations.
Requirements:

Registered Dental Assistant Qualifications<ul><li>
 Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA Compliance Standards required</li><li>
 Valid California Registered Dental Assistant license</li><li>
 Current Radiographic Certification required</li><li>
 Advanced knowledge and use of dental terminology preferred</li><li>
 CPR certification required</li><li>
 Infection Control certification required</li><li>
 Means to travel from one office to another, required as necessary</li><li>
 Vast knowledge of different types of dental procedures</li></ul>
Registered Dental Assistant Responsibilities and Duties<ul><li>
 Review charts daily to determine if everything has been documented and if the patient had all work done for which she/he was 
scheduled</li><li>
 Pack lab cases and send them out the same day</li><li>
 Check lab cases daily; ensure that patients are rescheduled when cases were expected but not received</li><li>
 Be available for filling in for back-office positions when the back is short of staff</li><li>
 Check to make sure rooms, equipment (including chair base), all clinical areas, etc. are cleaned daily</li><li>
 Clean, sterilize, and package dental instruments</li><li>
 Turn off all equipment nightly, including the vacuum, compressor, etc.</li><li>
 Attend and participate in staff meetings and team huddles</li><li>
 Other duties as assigned by the Office Manager, Regional Manager, and/or Dentists</li></ul>
Registered Dental Assistant Education<ul><li>
 Graduation from an accredited Dental Assisting School preferred</li></ul>
Registered Dental Assistant Experience<ul><li>
 At least 1 year of recent experience as a Registered Dental Assistant preferred. 1 year of</li><li>
 Dental Views experience may be considered</li></ul>
