 The Dentologie dental practice located in Evanston is seeking a kind and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join the team!  Our Evanston practice (1601 Sherman, Suite B, Evanston, IL 60201) is located at fountain square in downtown Evanston and comprised of 7 vibrant, spacious operatories. Nearby, there is a wide variety of brunch and dinner locations as well as shopping at Target and Whole Foods.
 
 
 As a full-time member of an incredible hygiene team, you can expect:

 The Evanston office uses Dentrix Ascend as the DPMS, the latest model of iTero scanners, Piezo scalers, intraoral cameras, Dexis sensors, and Gemini Diode lasers. Evanston uses top-end Hu Friedy instruments with an on-site Nordent sharpening machine.
 
 
 
 Hygienist Schedule: Full-Time (Part-Time option as well)

 Monday: 7:30am-2:30pm

 Tuesday: 1:30pm-8:30pm
 </li>
 <li>
 Wednesday: 7:30am-2:30pm
 </li>
 <li>
 Thursday: 1:30pm-8:30pm

 Friday: 7:30am-3:30pm

 Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide patient care in all dental periodontal services in which you are licensed to perform.
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist dentist chairside during examinations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide a 10-star Patient experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Contribute positively to an engaging culture.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepares instruments and materials for procedures for your patients.
 </li>
 <li>
 Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.
 </li>
 <li>
 Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations and planned treatment.
 
 
 </li>

 Education:

 Active IL Registered Dental Hygiene license + Local Anesthesia certified.

 Responsibilities

 Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties

 Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide a 10-star Patient experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures
 </li>
 <li>
 Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS
 </li>
 <li>
 Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry)
 </li>
 <li>
 Make patients as comfortable as possible in the chair while preparing them for treatment
 </li>
 <li>
 Sterilize &amp; disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment.
 </li>
 <li>
 Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos
 </li>
 <li>
 Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor daily supplies for restocking
 </li>
 <li>
 Assist dentist in providing patients with instructions for care post-treatment procedures.
 
 
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Required Skills/Abilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Required: minimum six months of assistant experience.
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service &amp; written communication skills
 </li>
 <li>
 Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care
 </li>
 <li>
 Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate
 </li>
 <li>
 Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
 </li>
 <li>
 Preferred: coronal polishing certificate
