 Responsibilities:
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Provide consultation with patients and discuss and treat dental concerns, perform regular cleanings and other preventative procedures, and establish a comprehensive treatment plan for better dental hygiene and positive restorative outcomes.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform dental procedures, such as extractions, root canals, and filling cavities
 </li>
 <ul>
 <li>
 Correct bite issues and overcrowding
 </li>
 <li>
 Apply preventative measures for teeth, such as sealants or whiteners
 </li>
 <li>
 Prescribe medications such as pain medications or antibiotics
 </li>
 <li>
 Utilize tools such as drills, probes, brushes, to examine and treat teeth
 </li>
 </ul>
 <li>
 Keep accurate records relating to the patient's oral health and the tx rendered to them
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage positively and communicate with team to provide outstanding care to patients
 </li>
 <li>
 Diagnose, tx plan, and diagnose oral disease and oral manifestation of systemic diseases.
 </li>
 <li>
 Routine follow-up with patients whom you&rsquo;ve provided treatment via phone or email.
 </li>
 <li>
 Manage both patient experiences and patient expectations to create a positive outcome
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 Qualifications:

 Active Washington state dental license (and malpractice insurance)
 </li>
 <li>
 Willingness to comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding dental and healthcare
 </li>
 <li>
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to keep detailed records
 </li>

 Comprehensive knowledge of: dental procedures, tools, thorough tx planning skills.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong inter-personal and leadership qualities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to manage dental complications for any procedure performed on a patient.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implant placement/advanced certification if placing implants or performing specialty work
 </li>

<div>Dentologie is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant (at least 6 months of assisting experience required) to provide outstanding patient care in our office(s). This opportunity comes with excellent compensation ($20-$23/hr., based on experience), a career track, great benefits package, full-time hours with a balanced schedule, and be part of a fun culture right here in Chicago! Schedule: As a full-time employee, we would ask that you are comfortable working Monday-Friday, 5 shifts per week (including 3 morning and 2 evening shifts). From Monday - Thursday our offices have a morning shift (7:30am-2:30pm) and an evening shift (1:30 or 2:30 pm-8:30pm). On Fridays, the shift is 7:30am-3:30pm.

Dentologie is comprised of 13 office locations in the Chicagoland area, including: Andersonville, Belmont, Lincoln Park, South Loop, Streeterville, Bucktown, West Loop, Evanston, Clark &amp; Diversey, Gold Coast, River North, Southport, and Oak Park/River Forest. 
 
Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Perform a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties.</li><li>
Assist dentist chairside during examination and treatment of a variety of operative procedures.</li><li>
Provide a 10-star Patient experience.</li><li>
Prepares instruments and materials for the dentist for upcoming procedures.</li><li>
Provide direct patient care in all dental services, including restorative, ortho, pediatric, endo, periodontics, prosthodontics and OS.</li><li>
Passes dental instruments between provider and assistant (4-handed dentistry).</li><li>
Make patients as comfortable as possible in the dental chair while preparing them for treatment.</li><li>
Sterilize &amp; disinfect instruments, equipment and operatories post treatment.</li><li>
Instruct patients on pre- and post-operative procedures and provide oral health education.</li><li>
Proficient in obtaining dental radiographs and intra-oral scans/photos.</li><li>
Keep treatment records such as charting existing restorations as well as planned treatment.</li><li>
Monitor daily supplies for restocking.</li><li>
Assist dentist in providing patients with instructions for oral care post-dental treatment procedures.</li></ul>
Required Skills/Abilities:<ul><li>
Required: minimum six months of assistant experience.</li><li>
Excellent verbal, interpersonal, customer service &amp; written communication skills.</li><li>
Clinical knowledge, skills along with patient care.</li><li>
Prioritize and delegate tasks when appropriate.</li><li>
Function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.</li><li>
Preferred: coronal polishing certificate.</li></ul>
